The Motorola Edge (2025) may be a worthwhile Prime Day buy if the live Amazon listing offers the U.S. unlocked 8GB/256GB model at a genuinely reduced price. But the October 6, 2026 deal report gives conflicting discount amounts, so it does not establish an exact checkout price or prove that the offer is a record low. Check the listing and price history before buying.
What the Prime Day report does—and does not—confirm
A PhoneArena report published October 6, 2026 describes an Amazon Prime Big Deal Days promotion for the Motorola Edge (2025). Its text is inconsistent: one passage says the discount is $200, while another says $250. It does not provide a dependable exact checkout price or independently verified price history. That means the report alone cannot substantiate a precise current price or a “lower-than-ever” claim.
Motorola set the unlocked U.S. model’s launch MSRP at $549.99 in May 2025, and named Best Buy, Amazon.com, and Motorola.com as initial retail channels. That historical MSRP is a reference point, not evidence of today’s deal value. Check the listing’s final price, seller, shipping, condition, and return terms; confirm that it is unlocked and does not require a carrier plan or trade-in.
Which Motorola Edge (2025) configuration to check
The U.S. unlocked configuration covered by Motorola’s announcement and Android Central’s review has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Make sure the Amazon product page specifies that configuration rather than relying on the product name alone. The October 6 deal report contrasts it with the Edge (2026), which it says has a 6.3-inch screen and 128GB storage; that is not a complete comparison of the two phones’ performance or features.

Motorola advertised up to two days of battery power and said its 68W TurboPower charger can provide a day’s charge in six minutes. Those are manufacturer claims, not guaranteed outcomes for every user. Android Central reports that the 68W charger is not included; Motorola says wireless charging equipment is sold separately.
Is it a good phone, beyond the discount?
Android Central’s review praises the phone’s design, camera improvements, battery life, charging, and durability. The reviewer also flags the Dimensity 7400’s speed and Motorola’s software-update commitment as drawbacks. Those are that reviewer’s assessments, not a universal verdict. The curved display gives the phone a distinctive look, but Android Central notes that its shape may make tempered-glass screen protection harder to fit.

For a buyer choosing between this model and another discounted mid-range phone, weigh the actual checkout total against the features that matter most: a larger curved 6.7-inch screen, 256GB of storage, 3x optical telephoto, wireless charging, and the review’s performance and update-support caveats. Verify the competing phone’s exact configuration and current update policy rather than assuming the newer model is better or worse based on its name alone.
Water resistance is not waterproofing
Motorola’s user guide cautions against intentional submersion and prolonged exposure to water. It advises avoiding salt water and liquids other than fresh water, drying the phone and its ports, and not charging it while wet. Drops, punctures, and scratches can affect water resistance, so the IP ratings are not a promise that the device is immune to liquid damage.
