The Moto G96 5G is the better fit if you want a sharper pOLED display, an ultrawide rear camera and a higher-resolution selfie camera. The realme P4R 5G prioritizes a larger battery, faster rated charging and a lower price in the dated listings compared here. On 91mobiles, the Moto was listed at ₹27,989 and the P4R at ₹20,199 on October 4, 2026—a ₹7,790 difference. Those are marketplace snapshot prices, not guaranteed checkout totals.

Which phone has the better display?
The P4R’s screen is slightly larger at 6.8 inches, but the Moto G96 has substantially more resolution: 2400 × 1080 pixels versus 1570 × 720. The Moto also uses pOLED, while the P4R is listed with an LCD panel. Both are rated for refresh rates up to 144 Hz. Choose the Moto if screen sharpness and panel type matter more; choose the P4R if you prefer the larger listed screen. Refresh-rate figures alone do not describe image quality or everyday smoothness.
Which has the stronger battery and charging specifications?
On rated capacity, the realme P4R leads with 8,000 mAh compared with 5,500 mAh for the Moto G96, a 2,500 mAh difference. Its listed wired charging rate is also higher at 45 W versus 33 W. These figures do not establish a specific battery-life advantage or charge time: those depend on use, software, adapter compatibility and test conditions.

Realme promotes the P4R with “Charge only once. Power through 3 full days.” The company attributes its battery data to realme Lab and says actual results may vary; this is a manufacturer claim, not a comparable independent head-to-head test. realme’s P4R product page
How do the cameras differ?
Both phones are listed with a 50 MP main rear camera. The Moto adds an 8 MP ultrawide rear camera and a 32 MP front camera; the P4R is listed with an 8 MP front camera and no ultrawide in the comparison sources. That gives the Moto more camera hardware options on paper, but megapixel counts and camera counts do not establish which phone takes better photos or selfies.

Do the processors and memory make one phone faster?
The Moto uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, while the P4R uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300. Chipset names alone do not establish a universal performance winner. 91mobiles’ Geekbench multicore snapshot favors the Moto, but benchmark results vary with test methodology and software, so they should not be treated as a guarantee of day-to-day speed. Realme also lists an AnTuTu score of 631,720 for the P4R and attributes it to its own lab; it cautions that results vary by testing environment and method. Check the exact retail SKU before comparing memory. Motorola lists 8 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage. Realme advertises up to 14 GB dynamic RAM, which includes software expansion rather than 14 GB of physical memory; comparison listings report P4R variants with 4 GB or 6 GB physical RAM.

What is the price difference?
On the 91mobiles page checked October 4, 2026, the Moto G96 5G showed an Amazon price of ₹27,989 and the realme P4R 5G showed ₹20,199. The P4R was ₹7,790 less in that snapshot. Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Moto G96 5G if
- You value its higher-resolution FHD+ pOLED display over the P4R’s larger HD+ LCD.
- You want an ultrawide rear camera and a higher-resolution front-camera specification.
- You prefer the listed Snapdragon platform, or the lighter and thinner dimensions shown for the Moto.
- You want Motorola’s listed IP68 rating; confirm that the rating applies to the exact market SKU you are considering.
Choose the realme P4R 5G if
- You prioritize its larger 8,000 mAh rated battery or higher 45 W charging specification.
- You prefer a larger screen and are comfortable with the lower listed HD+ resolution and LCD panel.
- Its current price for the exact variant is meaningfully lower than the Moto’s at checkout.
What to check before ordering
- Confirm storage and physical RAM for the exact model variant; do not treat dynamic RAM as equivalent to installed RAM.
- Compare live prices and checkout totals from the same date, including seller, offers and warranty region.
- Verify the P4R’s protection rating against current official specifications or product packaging. Gadgets 360 reports IP64, but the official realme product-page material cited here did not confirm it.
- Check the regional retail SKU and included items. Motorola notes that some specifications may vary by market.
