The available specifications do not support a fully verified, like-for-like comparison: Xiaomi’s Mexico page documents the Redmi 15C, while Motorola’s available page is for the standard moto g86 5G—not the moto g86 Power. The documented models point to different strengths: the Redmi 15C has a larger screen, higher listed battery capacity and microSD expansion; the standard G86 page lists a much sharper AMOLED display and stronger water-and-dust ratings. Check the exact G86 Power model and your country’s prices before deciding.

First, confirm which Moto G86 Power you mean

Model names and specifications can vary by market. Motorola’s available product page identifies the phone as moto g86 5G, not moto g86 Power, and Motorola cautions that specifications may vary by market. Its figures cannot be treated as confirmed G86 Power specifications. Xiaomi’s figures below are from its Mexico Redmi 15C product page, so they also should not be assumed to describe every regional configuration.

For a definitive comparison, match the full model name and country on each manufacturer’s local product or support page, then compare the same RAM and storage tiers. The comparison below separates verified Redmi 15C details from the related—but not verified as Power—G86 details.

Which phone has the better display?

On the documented specifications, the standard moto g86 5G has the sharper screen: its 2712 × 1220 AMOLED panel packs substantially more pixels into a slightly smaller 6.67-inch display than the Redmi 15C’s 1600 × 720, 6.9-inch panel. Motorola also lists HDR10+. Both pages specify refresh rates up to 120 Hz, though Motorola describes its rate as adaptive.

The Redmi 15C’s screen is larger, which may suit readers who prioritize viewing area. The specifications alone do not establish real-world brightness, color accuracy, or outdoor visibility. And because the Motorola page is for the standard G86, confirm the Power model’s display before relying on this comparison.

Does the Redmi 15C’s larger battery mean longer battery life?

Xiaomi lists a 6,000 mAh typical battery for the Redmi 15C; Motorola lists 5,200 mAh for the standard moto g86 5G. Those capacities do not prove which phone lasts longer: battery life also depends on the display, processor, software, signal conditions and usage. Motorola’s 41-hour figure is a manufacturer claim for the standard G86, not an independent, head-to-head test or a verified G86 Power result.

The Redmi 15C page lists 33 W charging, compared with 30 W TurboPower on the standard G86 page. Wattage alone does not establish charging time, and the cited pages do not provide a controlled comparison. Xiaomi advises checking the local seller to find out whether a power adapter is included.

How do durability and storage expansion compare?

Xiaomi rates the Redmi 15C IP64 and explicitly cautions against immersion. Motorola lists IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD 810H for the standard moto g86 5G. These ratings are documented for different, region-specific product pages; Motorola’s figures do not establish the G86 Power’s protection. Check the exact Power model’s regional documentation before treating those ratings as a reason to choose it.

The Redmi 15C supports microSD cards up to 1 TB, with the card sold separately. The standard G86 page also lists microSD support up to 1 TB. Confirm card support and any SIM-tray trade-offs for the precise variant you plan to buy.

What is the price difference?

A Smartprix comparison updated September 9, 2026, reported lowest-found prices of ₹24,999 for the Moto G86 Power 5G and ₹21,194 for the Redmi 15C 5G (8 GB RAM + 128 GB). That snapshot implies a ₹3,805 gap in those reported listings at that time. It is dated third-party pricing, not a current universal price difference; the listing’s stated Redmi memory configuration also differs from the 4 GB + 128 GB configuration on Xiaomi’s Mexico page.

Prices depend on country, seller, configuration and date. Before comparing value, check both phones in the same market, match storage tiers as closely as possible, and compare current seller prices for the exact model names. The available price snapshot does not establish a price difference for another country or for today.

Which one should you choose?

  • Consider the Redmi 15C if its locally available version meets your needs and you value a larger screen, a higher listed battery capacity, or microSD expansion. Its official Mexico page documents those features, but verify your region’s configuration and price.
  • Consider the Moto G86 Power only after checking its exact regional specifications. The standard moto g86 5G page suggests a sharper AMOLED display and higher listed protection ratings, but those details are not proof of the Power model’s specification.
  • Do not choose on the basis of the dated price gap alone. Check current listings for the same country and comparable memory and storage, then confirm the model suffix before purchase.

For both phones, the available comparison does not establish matched network-band support, carrier compatibility, software-update policy, in-box accessories, or independent camera, performance and battery-test results. Verify those details for your local SKU if they matter to your decision.
