The Moto G86 Power has the stronger listed battery capacity, display resolution and front-camera resolution; Samsung’s clearest advantage is its official promise of six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy M47 5G. There is no reliable single price difference to quote: India-focused comparison pages show sharply different prices, and the listed configurations and offers are not reconciled.

Battery: Moto has the larger listed capacity
Comparison listings give the Moto G86 Power a 6,720 mAh battery and the Galaxy M47 5G a 6,000 mAh battery. That makes the Moto’s stated capacity larger, but capacity alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer in everyday use. Screen brightness, network conditions, processor load, software and other factors affect battery life; no directly comparable endurance test is established here.

Display: higher listed resolution on the Moto
Smartprix lists both phones with 6.7-inch displays and 120 Hz refresh rates. It gives the Moto G86 Power a resolution of 1220 × 2712 pixels, compared with 1080 × 2340 pixels for the Galaxy M47 5G. The Moto therefore has the higher listed pixel count. These figures do not, by themselves, establish differences in color, brightness, viewing angles or overall panel quality.
Cameras: compare the listed selfie resolution, not assumed quality
The comparison sources list a 32 MP front camera for the Moto and a 12 MP front camera for Samsung. Megapixel count describes resolution, not the quality of the finished photo: image processing, lens and sensor characteristics, lighting and camera software matter too. The figures alone are not enough to call one phone’s selfies better. The cited comparison details do not establish a fuller, like-for-like camera-quality verdict.
Software updates: Samsung states a defined support policy
Samsung’s official India Galaxy M47 5G page promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, counted from the model’s first global launch date. Samsung also notes that the policy may change. This is a stated support commitment, not a guarantee that every update arrives on the same day in every region.

Do not assume the same update policy for the Moto G86 Power based on information about a similarly named phone. Motorola’s official India support page reviewed for this comparison is for the moto g86 5G, not the Power model. It lists Android 15 and other specifications for that sibling, but those details do not establish the Power model’s software version or support term.
Price difference: the available India listings conflict
Two comparison pages show different price snapshots for both phones:

- Smartprix displays ₹26,999 for the Moto G86 Power and ₹27,999 for the Galaxy M47 5G. Smartprix labels its details updated October 7, 2026.
Those figures point to very different price gaps, and the sources do not explain whether the difference comes from retailer, promotion, listing status or RAM and storage configuration. Neither set should be treated as a settled market price or official manufacturer price. Compare live listings for the same configuration and check seller, stock, delivery region and date before deciding which costs less. Samsung’s official India product page showed “Not for sale” for its 8 GB/128 GB product when accessed, so its current retail availability also needs confirmation.

The word “Power” matters. Motorola’s official India support page reviewed here covers the non-Power moto g86 5G. It lists a 5,200 mAh battery, 30 W charging, a 6.67-inch 2712 × 1220 AMOLED display with up to 120 Hz, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, Android 15 and IP68/IP69 protection. Motorola cautions that specifications may vary by market. These are facts about the non-Power sibling, not specifications to transfer to the Moto G86 Power.

Its figures for the sibling—including a 5,200 mAh battery and 30 W charging—do not establish the Power model’s specifications. For either phone, confirm the model name and the configuration on the retailer’s product page before comparing listings.
Which phone fits your priorities?
- Consider the Moto G86 Power if the verified listing is for the Power model and its current price suits you. Its comparison-listed advantages are battery capacity, display resolution and front-camera resolution; those specifications do not prove better real-world endurance or photo quality.
- Consider the Galaxy M47 5G if Samsung’s stated update policy matters to you and you can confirm the phone is available at a price you accept. Its official India page gives a defined support commitment, while showing “Not for sale” for the 8 GB/128 GB product when accessed.
For both phones, use a current, same-day comparison of matching RAM and storage variants. The available price snapshots are too inconsistent to support a dependable winner on cost alone.
