Display: sharper resolution or higher refresh rate?
The Edge 60 Fusion lists a 1.5K pOLED screen at 120 Hz, while the G85 lists Full HD+ resolution at 144 Hz. The Edge therefore has the higher listed resolution; the G85 has the higher listed refresh rate. Resolution describes how much detail a screen can display, while refresh rate describes how often it can update. Which matters more depends on whether you prioritize screen detail or the faster refresh specification.
Performance: processor names are not benchmark results
The G85 lists Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, specified by Motorola as a 6 nm chip. The India Edge 60 Fusion lists MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400. These are different processor models, but the model names alone do not establish which phone is faster in everyday use or games. No benchmark or hands-on results are available here to quantify a performance difference.

For charging, 91mobiles reports 68 W for the Edge 60 Fusion and 33 W for the G85. Treat those as comparison-source figures rather than independently confirmed official specifications for each India variant. Charging wattage alone also does not establish how long a full charge takes.

Protection ratings: what they do and do not tell you
Motorola lists IP52 for the G85 and IP68/IP69 plus MIL-STD-810H certification for the Edge 60 Fusion. These are substantially different published protection credentials, but they are not a promise that a phone is indestructible. Do not interpret a rating as protection against every kind of exposure, accident or damage.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the Edge 60 Fusion if its higher listed 1.5K resolution, 5,500 mAh battery capacity or IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H credentials matter more to you, and its listed price fits your budget.
- Consider the Moto G85 if the lower displayed listing price or 144 Hz refresh rate is more important to you.
- Compare exact variants before deciding. The displayed prices do not represent matching configurations, and listing prices and availability can change.
Camera comparison: no winner established
The official specification information available for this comparison does not provide enough camera-system detail to compare sensors, lenses or video features. There are also no hands-on image results here, so it is not possible to name a camera winner on this evidence.
