The Moto G85 is the more display-focused option on the cited Australian specifications, with a 6.67-inch FHD+ pOLED screen; the Moto G37 Power 5G has a larger listed battery, at 7,000 mAh (6,790 mAh rated). Those figures describe different priorities, not a proven winner for screen quality, performance, or battery life. Motorola’s specifications and prices vary by market, so check the exact country and RAM/storage configuration before buying.
How the Moto G85 and Moto G37 Power compare on paper
The table below uses Motorola’s Australian specifications where available. It is a regional comparison, not a guarantee that every phone sold under either name has the same components.
| Specification | moto g85 5G | moto g37 power |
|---|---|---|
| Display (Australia listing) | 6.67-inch FHD+ pOLED, 144 Hz Motorola Australia | 16.94 cm HD+ LCD, 120 Hz Motorola Australia |
| Battery (Australia listing) | 5,000 mAh | 7,000 mAh; 6,790 mAh rated |
| Processor (Australia listing) | Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 | MediaTek Dimensity 6400 |
| RAM and storage (Australia listing) | 8 GB RAM | 4 GB or 8 GB RAM; 128 GB storage, expandable up to 1 TB |
| Charging (Australia listing) | 33 W | 30 W |
The G85’s listed screen has a higher resolution and uses pOLED, while the G37 Power’s Australian page lists a larger-capacity battery. These specifications indicate the trade-off to investigate; they do not establish measured display quality or how long either phone lasts in everyday use. The processor names alone also do not establish which phone feels faster: no benchmark or hands-on performance results are available here.
Which regional differences should buyers check?
Do not assume the Australian configuration applies elsewhere. Motorola’s French listings differ from its Australian specifications in several purchase-critical ways.

- G37 Power: Motorola France lists a Dimensity 6300 processor and 256 GB storage, rather than the Dimensity 6400 and 128 GB listed in Australia. NFC availability and other details depend on the market. Motorola France
- Network and connectivity: Verify the local 5G bands and NFC availability for the exact model sold in your country; a matching product name does not establish matching support.
For expandable storage, confirm that the particular regional phone supports microSD and check its stated capacity limit. A card is an additional purchase, not a stated inclusion.

There is no single dependable price gap in the available India snapshots: the official and third-party listings show different price ordering and configuration context. Treat them as dated examples, not current checkout quotes.

Because these snapshots differ in seller and configuration context, subtracting one phone’s listed price from the other would not produce a reliable like-for-like price difference. Which one fits your priorities?
- Lean toward the G85 if its local variant retains the higher-resolution pOLED display and that is your priority. Confirm the actual refresh rate, charging specification, memory, and storage for your market.
- Consider the G37 Power if you prioritize the larger battery capacity listed for Australia. Capacity alone does not prove longer real-world endurance, and its processor, display, memory, and storage vary by region.
- Pause before ordering either model if you have not verified local 5G bands, NFC, and the exact model configuration. The cited specifications do not establish camera quality, software-update commitments, or independently tested performance.
