What is the series about?
Netflix describes the show as a true-life tale about Ed Gein and his influence on horror films. Its official trailer calls him “the infamous murderer and grave robber who inspired many of Hollywood’s most iconic on-screen killers.” That is Netflix’s promotional framing; the series is a dramatization, not a historical reference account. Netflix Tudum’s trailer coverage also says the season explores why audiences are drawn to such stories despite the nightmares they cause.
