Mitiga announced a $30 million Series B in January 2025, led by SYN Ventures. The company said it will use the funding to expand in the United States and Europe, grow sales and marketing, improve its AI-driven platform, add cloud and SaaS integrations, and form strategic alliances.
Who led Mitiga’s $30 million Series B?
SYN Ventures led the round, announced by Mitiga on January 17, 2025. ClearSky, Atlantic Bridge, Flint Capital, DNX Ventures, and Glilot Capital Partners also participated, according to Business Wire. SecurityWeek reported the funding on January 21, 2025.
SecurityWeek reported that the Series B brought Mitiga’s total funding to $75 million. The reviewed announcement and report do not establish a company valuation.

John Watters became Executive Chairman, and Robert Rodriguez joined Mitiga’s Board of Directors. Business Wire said Watters previously served as President and COO of Mandiant, later acquired by Google for $5.4 billion, and held leadership roles at iDEFENSE, iSIGHT Partners, Archer Technologies, and NetWitness.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish
The funding announcement describes Mitiga’s expansion plans and product capabilities, but it does not provide independently audited evidence for the platform’s speed claim or a valuation for the company. The more-than-90% figure should therefore be read as Mitiga’s stated comparison with traditional approaches, not as a universal or independently verified performance benchmark.
