The reported offers are for GPS models, not an unspecified Series 12 configuration: MacRumors listed the 42mm at $349.99 versus $399 and the 46mm at $399.99 versus $449 on October 8. Macworld’s October 7 deal list separately reported the 46mm at $399. Compare case size and GPS configuration on the current listing; the cited figures are not necessarily still available. M5 MacBook Air

Tom’s Guide noted that the $200 discount returned the laptops to their pre-price-hike prices. That context matters: the reduced prices should not be read as necessarily lower than the older launch price or a historical low.
How to check whether the deal is still worth it
- Open the exact product listing. Confirm the device generation and, for a MacBook Air, screen size, memory, and storage. For the watch, confirm 42mm or 46mm and GPS; for AirPods, verify the Pro 3 model.
- Check the seller and stock. A remembered event price does not establish the current seller, delivery availability, or checkout total.
- Review Amazon Price History. Amazon says shoppers can tap “Price History” on a product detail page or ask Alexa for Shopping to see up to 365 days of pricing data: Amazon’s official guidance. Use the chart to put the current offer in context, rather than relying only on a crossed-out reference price.
- Compare like with like. Make sure the historical price and current listing refer to the same configuration, not a different size or storage option.
Which device should you consider?
- AirPods Pro 3: the relevant reported offer was for earbuds, with the October 8 MacRumors snapshot at $179.
- Apple Watch Series 12: choose between the 42mm and 46mm GPS versions based on preferred case size, then check the corresponding live listing.
- M5 MacBook Air: compare the 13-inch and 15-inch models at the same reported 16GB memory and 512GB storage configuration; the larger-screen version was reported at a higher price.
