No single host wins on the evidence available in October 2026. SiteGround is easier to price from its published terms: its global page lists a $2.99 monthly introductory rate and a $17.99 monthly renewal rate for its entry plan. MilesWeb’s India pages describe a feature set that overlaps with SiteGround’s, including NVMe storage, on-demand backups and managed WordPress tools, but the pages cited here do not state a comparable price. The right choice depends on where you buy, how large the site is, and what you will pay after the first term.
Which host fits which situation
- You want a dollar price you can check on a published page. SiteGround’s global page states the StartUp plan’s introductory and renewal figures, so you can work out a multi-year cost before opening checkout.
- You are buying from India. MilesWeb’s India pages are the relevant ones. Get the price from its checkout, because the pages cited here do not state one.
- You run WordPress and want backups you can control. Both services describe daily backups. MilesWeb’s India pages also describe on-demand backups and restores, while SiteGround’s listing of the restore process is less specific.
What SiteGround publishes
Pricing and billing term
SiteGround’s global web hosting page lists its StartUp plan at $2.99 per month as an introductory rate and $17.99 per month at renewal. Both figures apply to a 12-month prepaid term, and the page states that they exclude GST. Those are vendor-listed terms, and they can change, so check the live checkout for your country before you buy. A TechRadar roundup dated September 3, 2026 lists the same StartUp figures and gives the higher tiers as well (see the plan table below).
Included features
The global page lists a free domain, website transfer, daily backups and 24/7 support among the plan features. SiteGround’s WordPress hosting page describes unmetered data transfer, subject to plan resource limits, and lists WordPress installation, automatic updates, staging, backups and security tools. These are vendor descriptions, not measured results. The pages reviewed do not state numeric storage or site-count limits.

SiteGround describes its data centers as globally distributed and recommends choosing one close to your visitors. The pages reviewed do not list the individual locations, so confirm the options during signup if latency to a specific audience matters to you.

What MilesWeb publishes
Web hosting in India
MilesWeb’s India web hosting page lists on-demand backups and included email accounts. The page is regional. Its plan details should not be carried over to a plan sold in another country without checking that country’s site.
WordPress and managed WordPress in India
MilesWeb’s India WordPress page describes NVMe storage and the ability to create backups on demand and restore from available backups. Its managed WordPress page lists daily backups, migration, support, on-demand backup and site cloning. These are provider claims. Check each one against the specific plan you intend to buy, particularly restore scope and support hours, which the pages reviewed do not state.

What is not established
- Speed and uptime. The pages reviewed include no independent test, with a documented method and test dates, that compares these two hosts on speed or uptime. Neither host can be called faster or more reliable on the strength of its feature list.
- MilesWeb pricing. The India pages cited here do not state a price, so there is no like-for-like cost comparison with SiteGround’s StartUp plan.
- Plan limits. Neither provider’s pages reviewed state numeric storage, website-count or traffic caps for the plans compared.
- Independence. MilesWeb’s own comparison article, MilesWeb vs SiteGround: Which Web Host Is Best for Your Business?, is written by one of the two providers and should be read as a vendor view.
How to run the comparison yourself
- Choose your country and currency first. Use SiteGround’s global page for its checkout in your region, and MilesWeb’s India pages only if you are buying from India.
- Match plans by website count, storage, WordPress features and backup scope, not by plan name.
- Record the introductory and renewal prices separately. For SiteGround StartUp, the listed rates over two prepaid 12-month terms come to $35.88 for year one and $215.88 for year two, or $251.76 in total before tax, assuming you renew at the listed price.
- Add the tax shown at checkout. SiteGround’s stated prices exclude GST, so the amount you pay may be higher.
- Confirm whether on-demand backups and restores are self-service on the plan you choose, and what each restore replaces.
- Check the support hours and channels in writing. SiteGround lists 24/7 support; MilesWeb’s support hours are not stated in the pages reviewed.
- Confirm the data-center location nearest your visitors before paying.
Choosing between them
- Choose SiteGround if you want a published dollar price, a clear renewal figure, and daily backups and 24/7 support across its plans, and you can confirm a data center near your audience.
- Choose MilesWeb if you are buying from India and want the NVMe storage, on-demand backup and restore, email accounts, and migration or cloning that its India pages describe, once the checkout shows the price and limits.
- Whichever you choose, compare renewal prices and included backup scope before you accept an introductory rate.
