No: Metro Redux is the two-game collection, while Metro 2033 Redux is only the first game. The collection includes Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux. The latter is the sequel and includes its previously released DLC. Check the exact product name and included titles before buying; the names are easy to confuse.
What each Metro Redux name includes

That distinction matters: a listing for Metro 2033 Redux does not mean you are getting both games. The Xbox storefront’s Metro Redux Bundle listing names both games, while its standalone Last Light Redux page is a separate product. Check the Xbox listing’s product name and contents.

How the two games differ
Metro 2033 Redux: the first story, rebuilt
Metro 2033 is the first game in the story. Its Redux edition was rebuilt in the 4A Engine and received gameplay improvements from Last Light, including changes to AI, controls, animation, and weapon handling, according to PLAION. These are changes to the first game’s presentation and gameplay; they do not turn it into a bundle with the sequel.

Last Light follows Metro 2033. Its Redux edition includes the Last Light campaign and all previously released DLC, which PLAION describes as adding 10 hours of bonus single-player content. That 10-hour figure is the publisher’s description, not a guaranteed playtime for every player. PLAION’s Last Light Redux overview lists the included content.

What the play styles and Ranger Mode change
Both Redux games list Survival and Spartan play styles, as well as Ranger Mode. The publisher descriptions frame Survival as slower and more survival-horror oriented, while Spartan favors action and combat. Ranger Mode removes the HUD, makes combat deadlier, and limits resources. These are ways to play the campaigns, not additional games. How to check a store listing before buying
- Read the exact title. “Metro Redux” is the collection; “Metro 2033 Redux” and “Metro: Last Light Redux” are individual games.
- Look for both game names. A bundle should explicitly identify Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux. The Xbox storefront illustrates why checking the named product and contents matters.
- Confirm DLC wording if you are buying Last Light separately. The Redux edition includes previously released DLC, according to PLAION.
- Check platform, format, and region on the current listing. A 2014 PlayStation Blog post documented a PS4 retail double pack, and Nintendo UK has a Switch download listing. Those references do not establish current stock or availability in every region. The PlayStation Blog post is dated August 26, 2014; Nintendo’s page is UK-specific.
How to interpret the advertised playtime
Nintendo UK’s Metro Redux listing advertises “50+ hours of gameplay.” That is promotional listing language, not an independently measured completion-time guarantee. The same listing describes a further 10 hours of bonus content, while PLAION attributes 10 hours of bonus single-player content to Last Light’s DLC.
