Meta Glasses Nova is advertised for up to eight hours on a single charge. Retailers list different totals when the charging case is included: Argos says up to 40 hours, while French retailer Connexion says up to 36 hours. These are retailer claims, not guaranteed runtimes; neither listing specifies the usage conditions behind its figures.
What battery life is advertised for Meta Glasses Nova?
Nova is one of the Meta Glasses styles named in the September 23, 2026 announcement from EssilorLuxottica and Meta. That announcement does not provide a Nova battery specification. The available runtime figures come from retailer listings:
| Listing | Glasses per charge | With charging case | What the listing establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Argos, Nova Standard | Up to 8 hours | Up to 40 hours | Retailer-advertised maximums; usage conditions and publication date are not stated in the listing. |
| Connexion, Nova Standard | Up to 8 hours | Up to 36 hours with a fully charged case | Retailer-advertised maximums; usage conditions and publication date are not stated in the listing. |
The different case-inclusive totals should be treated as separate retailer claims, not combined into a more precise promise. Your actual runtime may differ with how you use the glasses, and the cited listings do not spell out the test conditions.
What does the charging case add?
The case extends the advertised total runtime by providing charging between uses. Argos describes the case as included with its Nova Standard listing. The case-inclusive figure is a total advertised runtime, not the length of one uninterrupted charge. The available listings do not establish whether a standalone replacement Nova case is sold or whether any third-party case is compatible.

Practical habits that may help a charge last
No Nova-specific official battery-saving settings or measured savings are established by the available sources. These are simple usage habits, not verified Meta controls, and no specific extra hours can be promised:
- Stop audio playback or capture when you no longer need it, rather than leaving those functions active during a break.
- Put the glasses in their case when you take a break, so they can charge between uses.
- For a long day, start with both the glasses and the case charged.
Why not use battery tips for other Meta glasses?
Battery specifications and controls can vary by model. Meta’s cited Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) page covers a different model family, so its specifications should not be applied to Nova. Likewise, Quest headset battery-saver advice is for headsets, not these glasses.
