Memcyco announced a $37 million Series A on January 27, 2026, saying the round brings its total funding to $47 million. The company says it will use the capital to expand its enterprise platform, which is designed to detect digital impersonation and phishing activity and help organizations disrupt account-takeover fraud.

Who invested in Memcyco’s Series A?

Memcyco said NAventures, the corporate venture arm of National Bank of Canada, led the round. New investors E. León Jimenes and Pags Group joined, along with existing investors Capri Ventures and Venture Guides. The investor details and total-funding figure come from Memcyco’s January 27, 2026 announcement.

The company said the proceeds would support global expansion of its platform. The announcement did not specify a regional rollout schedule or break down how the funds would be allocated.

What does Memcyco’s anti-impersonation technology do?

Memcyco describes its product as enterprise software that monitors for digital impersonation and phishing, with the goal of helping organizations identify exposed users and attacker activity while a scam is unfolding. The company’s stated aim is to let organizations intervene before an impersonation attempt leads to account takeover or other harm.

That distinction matters: a fake website or phishing attempt is a way to deceive a user and obtain information, while account takeover is a possible downstream outcome in which an attacker gains control of an account. Memcyco says its platform is intended to address risks across that sequence; its public product materials describe these capabilities but do not independently establish how effective they are in practice.

Capabilities listed by Memcyco

Memcyco’s product page lists website-impersonation detection, account-takeover protection, device and session risk signals, threat intelligence, takedown workflows, and APIs that share events, alerts, and session-risk information with other systems. These are the company’s descriptions of its platform, not findings from an independent product evaluation.

What performance figures did Memcyco report?

In its funding announcement, Memcyco reported a threefold year-over-year increase in annual recurring revenue, a tripling of its customer base, more than 3.5 million prevented account-takeover attempts, and more than half a billion device identities mapped. Those figures are company-reported; the announcement does not provide independent validation or detailed measurement methods.

CEO and co-founder Israel Mazin characterized the product’s approach this way: “We are shifting the paradigm from reactive takedowns to proactive, real-time disruption. Our technology infiltrates the attack timeline, identifying the victim and the bad actor instantly to prevent damage before it starts.” The statement describes Memcyco’s positioning, not independently verified efficacy.

What enterprise buyers should verify

The announcement and product page do not establish pricing, detailed deployment requirements, customer validation, or independent performance versus competing products. Organizations evaluating the platform can use the following criteria to frame a technical review:

  • Detection point: Ask whether the system identifies risk before login, during authentication, or after suspicious activity appears.
  • Attack-surface coverage: Confirm which forms of impersonation it can detect, including fake websites, and what device or session signals it uses.
  • Exposed-user identification: Determine how the product identifies people who may have encountered a scam and what action the organization can take on that signal.
  • Integration and response: Establish how alerts, session-risk data, and events flow into existing risk, identity, and incident-response systems, and what the takedown workflow requires.
  • Evidence and measurement: Request definitions, measurement periods, and independent support for efficacy and deployment claims, including how a “prevented” account-takeover attempt is counted.

These are evaluation questions, not conclusions about Memcyco’s performance or a comparison with other vendors.
