MegazoneCloud and Portal26 announced a reseller partnership for Korea on September 28, 2026, aimed at helping enterprises see and govern generative AI use—including employees’ use of unapproved services. MegazoneCloud will resell the Portal26 platform and provide local technical support and customer-specific security and governance offerings; Portal26 will supply the platform and related expertise. The announcement describes intended capabilities, not independently verified results.

What the Korea partnership covers

The arrangement is a strategic reseller and support partnership, not an acquisition or merger. MegazoneCloud announced that it will bring Portal26’s AI Adoption Management Platform to Korean enterprise customers, provide technical support, and develop security and governance offerings tailored to customer environments. Portal26 will provide its platform and expertise and work with MegazoneCloud on support and service improvements for Korean customers. The companies also plan joint sales and marketing. The announced territory is Korea. MegazoneCloud’s September 28, 2026 announcement and Portal26’s announcement describe the partnership.

How the platform is intended to address shadow AI

Shadow AI refers here to generative AI services employees use without their organization’s approval or oversight. The companies say the platform is designed to identify and manage AI use across internal development environments, web-based services employees access individually, and unauthorized tools. Its stated visibility and controls operate at network and browser levels, addressing use that may otherwise be difficult for security teams to see.

Discovery and control

According to the MegazoneCloud announcement, organizations can detect, analyze, and control generative AI use across those environments, including shadow AI. The release does not detail the technical architecture, coverage limits, or how organizations configure enforcement.

Prompt-level sensitive-data protection

The described data-loss-prevention functions can detect, mask, or block sensitive information in prompts. That focus matters because a prompt can contain confidential material before a request is sent to an AI service. These functions are described by the companies; the announcement does not independently validate their accuracy or effectiveness.

Audit trails and usage management

The platform is also described as retaining AI usage records for security audits and incident analysis, and managing token usage and costs by AI agent, organization, and team. The announcement does not specify retention periods, reporting formats, pricing, or which AI services and agents are supported.

What the companies claim—and what is established

MegazoneCloud says the platform can be installed in about 30 minutes. Its announcement does not specify the deployment conditions or scope behind that estimate. Portal26’s company page claims enterprises using its platform achieve 24 times more success achieving ROI, detect three times more shadow AI, and receive ten times more security coverage than with legacy security providers. The page, as reviewed, does not explain the methodology behind those comparisons or provide independent corroboration.

These numbers should therefore be read as vendor claims, not as independently established performance results. The two partnership announcements are company statements; they do not document independent product testing, customer deployments, platform-specific regulatory certifications, pricing, or detailed technical architecture.

What Korean enterprise buyers should verify

The announcement identifies capabilities relevant to an evaluation, but it does not provide cross-vendor ratings or enough implementation detail to determine product fit. Before adopting a governance platform, buyers can use the stated feature areas as questions for a technical and security review:

  • Which browser activity, network traffic, internal development environments, and external web services are visible, and where are the coverage limits?
  • How are prompt-level detection, masking, and blocking configured, and how are false positives or missed sensitive data handled?
  • What usage records are retained for audits and incident investigations, for how long, and who can access them?
  • How are token use and costs attributed to AI agents, teams, and organizations?
  • What deployment prerequisites, integrations, and customer-side work underlie the stated installation estimate?
  • What Korean-language support and locally tailored services will MegazoneCloud provide for a specific customer environment?
  • Can the vendors provide independently documented evidence for performance claims and references relevant to the organization’s use cases?

MegazoneCloud CEO Yeom Dong-hoon described real-time visibility into unapproved AI use and prompt-stage management of sensitive-data leakage risk as emerging security challenges as generative AI spreads across work. This is an English translation of his Korean statement in the company announcement, not the original English wording.
