Megabit is publishing Gang of Frogs, a co-op shooter in development by Aska Studios. The companies describe it as playable solo or with up to three friends, combining third-person shooting with roguelite runs and deckbuilding. A community playtest was scheduled for October 1–4, 2026; as of October 3, the announcement does not confirm whether access or sign-ups are still open. The studios say Early Access is planned for 2027.
Who is making and publishing Gang of Frogs?
Aska Studios is developing Gang of Frogs, and Megabit is its publishing partner. Megabit is described in the announcement as Aonic’s publishing arm. Aska Studios’ official game page also presents the title as a one-to-four-player co-op shooter.
Megabit CEO Jonathan Hales said, “We’re thrilled to be working with Aska on Gang of Frogs,” according to the announcement. That is the publisher’s description of the partnership, not an independent assessment of the game.
What kind of game is Gang of Frogs?
Aska Studios calls it a “Co-op shooter with a deckbuilder meta game.” Players take the roles of cloned mercenary frogs. The announced gameplay combines third-person shooting with roguelite runs, deckbuilding, loot and upgrades. Megabit’s announcement describes fighting monsters and bugs, exploring unusual civilizations and carrying out raids in handcrafted worlds. Aska says contracts, upgrades and new build combinations shape runs.

Can you play solo or with friends?
Yes, the companies describe the game as playable by one person or in a group of up to four. Megabit says players can go solo or bring up to three friends; Aska’s site states “1-4 players.” That is the supported player-count range. The announcement does not provide further detail about matchmaking or how co-op progression works.
