The MediaTek Dimensity 9500s is an eight-core smartphone system-on-chip built around one Arm Cortex-X925 core, three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores, paired with an Immortalis-G925 GPU. MediaTek announced it on January 15, 2026. Third-party listings report an AnTuTu score of 3,022,675 and Geekbench 7 CPU scores of 2,460 single-core and 7,817 multi-core; these are observed results, not guaranteed scores for every phone. This guide separates MediaTek’s specifications and performance claims from those benchmark results.

MediaTek Dimensity 9500s specifications

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s product page describes a flagship smartphone platform made using 3 nm technology. Its CPU has eight cores, with the following arrangement:

CPU core Quantity Maximum frequency or cache listed by MediaTek
Arm Cortex-X925 1 Up to 3.73 GHz; 2 MB L2 cache
Arm Cortex-X4 3 1 MB L2 cache per core
Arm Cortex-A720 4 512 KB L2 cache per core
Shared cache — 12 MB L3 cache and 10 MB system-level cache

The frequency and cache figures are platform specifications, not a promise that every phone will operate at the maximum clock continuously. Device design, power settings and workload can affect actual performance.

GPU, memory and connectivity

The chip uses MediaTek’s Immortalis-G925 GPU. MediaTek lists 11-core and 12-core GPU configurations and directs buyers to the phone maker’s specifications for the configuration in a particular device. The platform supports LPDDR5X memory at up to 10,667 Mbps and UFS 4 storage with MCQ. It also lists 3GPP Release 17 cellular support and Wi-Fi 7. These describe platform capabilities; the phone’s implementation and the availability of network features can vary by device and market.

Dimensity 9500s benchmark results

The published scores below come from third-party listings, not from MediaTek. They are useful reference points, but they do not establish a universal result for phones using the chip.

Benchmark Reported result Source and date
AnTuTu 3,022,675 91Mobiles; page accessed October 7, 2026, and labels the score as tested by 91Mobiles
Geekbench 7 CPU 2,460 single-core; 7,817 multi-core NanoReview; entry dated September 24, 2026

The available figures are not a controlled head-to-head test of retail phones. Scores can change with the tested handset, cooling system, power limits, memory and software. For a meaningful comparison with another chip, use results from the same benchmark version and graphics test, then compare sustained performance, thermals and power use in similarly designed phones. The figures here do not support declaring a winner against another SoC.

What MediaTek says about gaming

MediaTek promotes ray tracing, Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0 and Frame Rate Converter 3.0 for the Dimensity 9500s. The company advertises gameplay of up to 165 FPS and power-optimized gameplay above 120 FPS in top titles. Those are MediaTek claims, not independent measurements or guarantees: frame rates depend on the game, phone, graphics settings and operating conditions. A phone’s GPU configuration may also differ, so check the OEM’s device specifications.

Launch and announcement

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9500s on January 15, 2026, in its launch announcement. In that release, JC Hsu, MediaTek corporate senior vice president and general manager of the Wireless Communications Business Unit, said: “As leaders in smartphone global share, we are committed to increasing our investment in advanced technologies and striving to make bleeding-edge products available to more people.” This is the company’s stated positioning, not an independent assessment of the chip.

What to check before choosing a phone with this chip

A chipset name and benchmark score alone cannot establish how a particular handset will perform. The available benchmark results do not identify a controlled handset comparison, and they do not provide a basis for recommending a specific retail phone. When evaluating a device, check its own specifications and reviews for:

  • The implemented Immortalis-G925 GPU core count and memory configuration.
  • Results from the same benchmark versions and graphics tests as the other phones under consideration.
  • Sustained performance and heat under longer workloads, rather than only a short peak score.
  • Whether its modem, Wi-Fi and memory features match your needs and are supported in your market.
