McCormick & Company beat analyst estimates in its third quarter of fiscal 2026: adjusted earnings were $0.86 per diluted share, $0.10 above the $0.76 consensus cited by Investing.com, and revenue was $2.02 billion versus a $1.98 billion estimate. The quarter was reported on October 1, 2026. Those estimate comparisons are distinct from McCormick’s reported GAAP earnings: GAAP diluted EPS was $0.36.
What McCormick reported for Q3 2026
Investing.com’s October 1, 2026 earnings story put adjusted EPS at $0.86, compared with analyst consensus of $0.76, and revenue at $2.02 billion, compared with consensus of $1.98 billion. That amounts to a $0.10-per-share earnings beat and revenue above the cited estimate. The consensus figures are from Investing.com, not from McCormick’s earnings release. McCormick’s own release also reports adjusted diluted EPS of $0.86. It reports GAAP diluted EPS of $0.36, compared with $0.84 in the year-ago quarter. McCormick said special charges reduced Q3 diluted EPS by $0.50 per share. The charges included transaction and integration costs and a noncash impairment charge. Adjusted EPS excludes specified items to provide a separate view of results; it does not replace the GAAP figure. Therefore, the $0.86 used in the consensus-beat comparison should be read as adjusted EPS, not as the quarter’s GAAP diluted earnings.

Sales grew, but reported and organic growth were not the same
McCormick reported net-sales growth of 17.4% in the quarter, while organic sales growth was 1.9%. The company said the McCormick de Mexico acquisition contributed to reported sales growth. The reported figure therefore should not be read as organic growth: the two measures describe different bases of comparison.
McCormick’s fiscal 2026 outlook
McCormick reaffirmed its fiscal 2026 outlook in October. The company projected reported net-sales growth of 13% to 17%, organic sales growth of 1% to 3%, and adjusted EPS of $3.05 to $3.13. These are company projections for the fiscal year, not Q3 results or analyst consensus.

Do not confuse this with McCormick’s Q2 headline
A similar “earnings beat by $0.10, revenue topped estimates” headline also appeared for McCormick’s second quarter in June 2026. That was a separate quarter: Investing.com reported Q2 EPS of $0.80 versus $0.70 consensus, and revenue of $1.94 billion versus $1.91 billion consensus. What the results do and do not show
The estimate beat establishes that Q3 adjusted EPS and revenue exceeded the consensus figures cited by Investing.com. It does not mean reported GAAP EPS increased year over year, and the sales-growth headline does not mean organic sales rose by 17.4%. McCormick CEO Brendan M. Foley described the results as demonstrating “the resilience and differentiated performance of our flavor-focused business model in a dynamic operating environment”; that is the company’s characterization, rather than an independent assessment.
