Manjaro MATE 19.0 “Kyria” was announced on February 27, 2020, with MATE 1.24 and the return of mate-tweak. It is a historical release, so an exact Kyria download link may no longer be live. Check Manjaro’s release archive for a MATE 19.0 folder rather than relying on an inferred mirror URL, and verify any ISO against its matching checksum and signature files before using it.
What was Manjaro MATE 19.0 “Kyria”?
Manjaro contributor Ste74 announced the MATE edition on February 27, 2020. The announcement said it shipped with MATE 1.24 and that mate-tweak had been reintroduced after an upstream patch became available. Read the Kyria MATE announcement.
Manjaro 19.0 was a rolling-release snapshot: it records the software available at that time, rather than a current build. The MATE announcement was a separate community-edition announcement, so it should not be confused with the main 19.0 release announcement or treated as evidence that MATE was one of the initially listed flagship desktops.
Where to look for the Kyria MATE download
Start with Manjaro’s download documentation and its official download/archive links. Manjaro documents an edition-specific folder on its OSDN download server, with a separate folder for each ISO release. A release folder can contain the ISO, a torrent, a package list, a build log, and checksum files. MATE is listed among the community releases. See Manjaro’s download guidance.

- Open Manjaro’s official downloads page and follow its archive or server links.
- Look for the MATE edition’s release directory and then a folder identified as 19.0 or Kyria.
- Check whether that folder actually contains the ISO and its matching verification files. Do not assume an old URL or mirror path still works.
The archived Manjaro download page describes MATE as a traditional desktop derived from the now-deprecated GNOME 2, retaining familiar desktop metaphors. See the archived Manjaro download page. Manjaro’s community-editions repository offers additional context on community ISO profiles and review builds, but its existence alone does not establish that a Kyria MATE image remains downloadable. How to verify a downloaded ISO
Download the ISO and the checksum and signature material associated with that same release directory. Follow Manjaro’s verification guidance; do not compare an image with a checksum from a different edition or release. Manjaro documents checksum files in release folders and provides an ISO verification tool. Download and verification guidance · manjaro-get-iso utility.

- Use the matching checksum file to verify the downloaded image; if signature material is provided, verify it as directed by Manjaro.
- Proceed to write the image to a USB drive only after verification succeeds. If the archive has no matching verification files, do not treat an unrelated checksum or an unverified download as authoritative.
Creating installation or live-test media
A USB flash drive is the practical medium for booting the ISO to test or install Manjaro. Rufus was among the tools covered for writing Manjaro images to USB in 2020. Contemporary reporting put the KDE, Xfce, and GNOME Manjaro 19.0 images at roughly 2.5–2.8 GB; those figures do not establish the size of the MATE Kyria ISO. ComputerBase’s 2020 coverage.
Use a USB drive with enough free capacity for the ISO and select the verified image in your USB-writing utility. Creating bootable media overwrites data on the selected drive, so check the target device before starting. Once the write completes, boot the computer from that USB to try the live environment or begin installation.

Should you use this historical ISO?
Use Kyria when you specifically need to inspect or reproduce the 2020 MATE release. For an everyday installation, prefer current Manjaro installation media: a historical snapshot contains software from its release period and is not equivalent to a current rolling-release download. The available evidence here establishes Kyria’s announcement and Manjaro’s archive and verification process, but not the continued availability, exact file size, or present-day suitability of a particular MATE ISO.
