Manjaro 20.0 “Lysia” was released in April 2020 with Xfce, GNOME, and KDE editions. It is a historical release, not the current Manjaro download recommendation, and Manjaro’s current download guide does not confirm that Lysia ISO files remain available.
What was Manjaro 20 Lysia?
Manjaro 20.0, codenamed Lysia, was an Arch Linux-based desktop release announced on 26 April 2020. Phoronix reported three editions—Xfce, GNOME, and KDE—and these release-era desktop versions: Xfce 4.14, GNOME 3.36, and KDE Plasma 5.18.
The same release coverage listed Pamac 9.4, Linux 5.6, and Snap and Flatpak support enabled by default. It also reported Architect support for OpenZFS installations. These are details of the 2020 release, not descriptions of current Manjaro software.
How did the Xfce, GNOME, and KDE editions differ?
The editions primarily differed in their desktop environments and the release-era customizations documented for them. Available sources do not establish comparative performance, resource use, or which edition was easiest to use.

Can you still download Manjaro 20 Lysia?
Availability of the historical Lysia ISO images on official mirrors is not confirmed by the current Manjaro download guide. The guide explains current download and installation practices, but it does not establish that a 2020 image remains available. Do not treat a third-party archive as an official download unless Manjaro verifies it.
The current guide lists Xfce, GNOME, and KDE as official editions, but that current listing does not confirm Lysia image availability or the exact architecture and release-channel details of its 2020 images. It also says Manjaro has no 32-bit support today; that should not be read as a statement about the precise architecture options for Lysia.

If you have a verified Lysia ISO, how do you prepare it?
Manjaro’s download guide describes ISO files as installation images and recommends checking their checksum files to verify download integrity. The guide’s general steps are:
- Obtain the ISO and its associated checksum file from a source you can verify.
- Check the ISO against the checksum using a suitable verification tool. A matching checksum indicates the downloaded file matches the checksum provided; it does not by itself prove the source is authentic.
- For physical hardware, write the ISO image to a USB flash drive or disc. Copying the ISO file onto the medium as an ordinary file is not sufficient.
- For a virtual machine such as VirtualBox, attach the ISO as a virtual disc instead of writing it to physical media.
The current guide distinguishes stable releases, which it presents as suitable for most users, from test builds intended for developers and testers. That is present-day guidance, not evidence about the channel designation of a particular Lysia image.
