Amazon’s U.S. Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7, 2026, but the event does not establish that any particular manga box set is at its lowest price of the year. Two reported prices surfaced during the event: Sailor Moon: Naoko Takeuchi Collection Vol. 1–6 at $39.34 and a Tokyo Ghoul box set at $48. They are snapshots from third-party and community posts, not verified live Amazon prices or proven annual lows.
What’s on sale—and what the reports actually show
Amazon describes Prime Big Deal Days as a 48-hour U.S. event running October 6–7, 2026. Its broad statement that many event deals are at the lowest prices of the year so far does not confirm that claim for every item, or for the manga sets mentioned here. Amazon’s official deal roundup names discounts on other boxed sets, including Jack Carr and Stephen King titles, but the cited passage does not list manga box sets.

Amazon says eligible product pages can show up to 365 days of Price History. Use the history for the exact product listing rather than relying on the event label or a deal post.

- Open the exact Amazon product page for the edition and box set you want.
- Find the product’s Price History on the page, if it is eligible. Review the available record, which may cover up to 365 days.
- Compare the current item price with the history. A year-low claim is supported only if the record covers the relevant period and shows the current price at its lowest point in that period.
- Before buying, confirm the seller, stock status, shipping charges, Prime eligibility, and final checkout price. Amazon notes that deals and availability can change.
A 365-day record, where available, cannot establish an all-time low beyond the period it displays. Nor does a deal tag by itself demonstrate a price record.

- Compare like with like: confirm the edition, volumes, and any extras included in each box set.
- Calculate cost per volume: divide the verified set price by the number of included volumes, then compare only sets with comparable contents.
- Use the price history: evaluate the specific listing’s past prices rather than assuming a promotion is unusually low.
- Check the purchase conditions: seller, shipping, stock, Prime eligibility, and checkout total can affect the value of the offer.
On the available reports alone, neither named price can responsibly be called a confirmed yearly low. The $39.34 Sailor Moon figure and $48 Tokyo Ghoul figure are useful leads to check, not proof that either is the best price of the year.
