To rebuild a struggling club in EA SPORTS FC 27, start in Manager Live, the part of Manager Career that offers scenario-based challenges. EA’s public materials describe the feature and give two starter examples, but they do not publish a complete list of the clubs or scenarios available. You will need to check the hub in your own game, then choose a scenario using the criteria below.
What Manager Live is and how it differs from Live Start Points
EA describes Manager Live as an option inside Manager Career, and it includes scenarios created by both EA SPORTS and the FC community. EA’s September 14, 2026 launch update says Manager Live returns at launch with new challenges, alongside Community Driven Challenges. Each scenario sets its own objective and starting situation, so it works as a self-contained save rather than a continuation of your main career save.
EA Help’s Career Mode guide also lists Live Start Points as a topic. That shows the term exists in EA’s support material, but the guide does not explain it in enough detail to say it is the same thing as the Manager Live challenges. Until you see the two side by side in your game, treat them as separate features. The “Live Starts” wording in many search queries most likely refers to Manager Live, but confirm that against your own menus.

The two starter challenges EA names
EA uses two challenges as examples of the lineup at launch. They are useful for understanding how the scenarios are designed, although they are not presented as struggling-club premises.

EA’s launch update says the lineup varies in objectives, time commitments and approaches. It does not give those commitments per challenge, so check the time estimate shown on each challenge card in the hub before you start.
Find the struggling-club scenarios in your game
EA’s public pages do not confirm which clubs appear in Manager Live at any given time, and the pool changes as EA adds content. Use this procedure to build your own shortlist:

- Launch EA SPORTS FC 27 on your platform and open Career Mode.
- Select Manager Career, then open Manager Live.
- Read each challenge’s objective, starting club and any squad or finance details shown before you select it.
- Note the game version or update number, the platform and the date you checked. Scenario lists can differ between platforms and builds.
- Record every scenario where the starting club is in a weak position, such as a poor league form, financial strain or a depleted squad, and compare those entries using the criteria in the next section.
Menu labels can shift between updates, so if a label differs, look for the Manager Live entry within Manager Career.

- Objective: Is it a result target, such as a winning run, or a financial target, such as a transfer profit? Pick the one that matches the problem you want to solve.
- Starting point: Check the squad, finances and recent form shown on the challenge card.
- Time commitment: Short challenges may cover only the opening weeks or window. Multi-season builds need a far longer commitment.
- Squad condition: Note whether injuries, contracts or player ratings limit your early options.
- Managerial pressure: Decide how much risk you can tolerate if early results go against you.
If you want to bring real-world league position or injury news into a scenario, use current reliable football sources for those facts. EA’s feature pages do not establish them.
Transfers in the rebuilt market
EA’s September 25, 2026 launch announcement says FC 27 has a rebuilt Career Mode Transfer Market, with active club bidding and realistic player values. That affects any scenario built on a transfer objective. Competing clubs may bid on your targets, and player prices follow more realistic values than in earlier iterations, so a plan that works on paper may need adjusting once bidding starts. The tactical and transfer approaches below are editorial suggestions, not results that have been tested in the game.

Community-made scenarios
EA describes community-made content in Manager Live under two names. The September 14 update refers to Community Driven Challenges, and the September 25 announcement refers to Manager Live Creator Challenges, which EA describes as community-made and curated. Whether a particular community scenario is available depends on your platform and version, so confirm access in the hub before you plan around it.

Choose a scenario by difficulty, time and market constraints
- Short and focused: Choose a challenge with a single named objective, such as Transfer Savvy or Winning Start, if you have a few sessions and want a clear target.
- Harder and transfer-heavy: Choose a scenario where the starting finances are tight and the objective depends on market decisions, if you accept that bidding will limit your options.
- Results-led: Choose a scenario where the objective is wins or form, if you prefer to manage the squad and tactics more than the transfer market.
- Multi-season rebuild: Choose a longer scenario with a weak starting squad if you want to develop players and results across several seasons. Check the time estimate first, since EA does not state it in its launch materials.
Once you have a shortlist from the in-game hub, compare the candidates on the five criteria above and start with the one whose objective matches the problem you most want to solve.
