MAINGEAR announced the Ultima 18 on June 11, 2025, with an 18-inch 4K 200Hz G-SYNC display and configurations up to an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. The current RTX 5090 product listing is a different specification snapshot: it names a Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and a 4K 240Hz screen. Check the selected configuration before buying; neither refresh-rate figure guarantees a game will run at that frame rate.
What are the MAINGEAR Ultima 18 specs?
The answer depends on whether you mean the June 2025 announcement or the current RTX 5090 product listing. MAINGEAR’s launch announcement and its present sales page do not describe the same processor and screen refresh rate.

Does the MAINGEAR Ultima 18 have an RTX 5090?
Yes. MAINGEAR’s announcement described the RTX 5090 Mobile as an available option, and its current RTX 5090 listing specifies a 24GB GDDR7 mobile GPU at 175W TGP. The phrase “up to RTX 5090” in the announcement matters: configurations in the Ultima 18 family can differ, so verify the exact GPU on the selected SKU rather than assuming every model has a 5090. The current collection page includes multiple configurations and mixes launch-era and current specifications. MAINGEAR Ultima 18 collection
Is the Ultima 18 4K 200Hz?
That is the display specification in the June 11, 2025 launch announcement: 3840×2400 at 200Hz with G-SYNC. The current RTX 5090 listing instead gives a 3840×2400 240Hz panel. MAINGEAR’s collection page also mixes 200Hz and newer configuration details, so use the specification shown for the exact model and configuration you intend to order rather than treating 200Hz as universal. A 200Hz or 240Hz refresh rate describes how often the display can refresh, not how many frames a game will render. No independent game benchmarks or measured thermal results are established here, so the specifications alone do not show how often the laptop can reach those frame rates at 4K.

What the specifications do—and do not—tell you
MAINGEAR described the Ultima 18 as a “full-featured desktop replacement”; that is the manufacturer’s characterization, not an independent test result. The published specifications establish a large, high-resolution gaming laptop with high-refresh-rate display options and a high-power mobile GPU configuration. They do not establish real-world battery runtime, fan noise, sustained performance, or game performance. The 98Wh figure is battery capacity, not a runtime estimate.
