MagicX’s Mini Dream AP is the Android configuration, announced with a D7300 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4. MagicX’s announced price is US$179, but the latest reporting does not confirm a release date or current retail availability. The Android label identifies the operating-system family; a numbered Android release has not been specified.
Mini Dream AP: announced specifications and price
Retro Handhelds reported the AP configuration on October 6, 2026, reproducing details from a MagicX announcement. The announcement lists the following:
| Specification | Mini Dream AP announcement |
|---|---|
| Processor | D7300 |
| Memory and storage | 6GB RAM and 128GB storage |
| Wireless | Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 |
| Operating-system family | Android |
| Announced price | US$179 |
| Release timing and retail availability | Not stated; Retro Handhelds reported that market timing remained unknown |
The source gives the processor simply as “D7300.” It does not establish a more specific chip name, so that is the safest way to identify it. The announcement presents memory and storage together as “6GB + 128GB”; the RAM and storage interpretation follows the context of the listed configuration.
Does “Android version” mean a specific Android release?
No numbered Android OS release is identified in the cited announcement. “Android” distinguishes the AP from the Mini Dream’s Linux variants; it does not establish whether the AP will ship with Android 14, 15, 16, or another release. The final software build is not documented in the available reporting.

How the AP differs from the earlier LL information
An August 5, 2026 project update attributed to MagicX’s Discord described four configurations. It identified LL and LP as Linux models with passive cooling, and AL and AP as Android models with active cooling. That update provided the LL’s processor and price, but said specifications and pricing for the other three would follow. The later October AP announcement supplies the AP-specific processor, memory, storage, and price.
| Model or group | Operating system | Cooling | Processor and memory | Price information |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mini Dream AP | Android | Active, according to the August lineup update | D7300; 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, announced October 6 | US$179 announced October 6; current retail price not confirmed |
| Mini Dream LL | Linux | Passive | Rockchip RK3566; memory and storage not stated in the cited sources | US$80 excluding shipping in the August 5 project update |
| Mini Dream AL | Android | Active, according to the August lineup update | Not stated in the cited sources | Not stated in the cited sources |
| Mini Dream LP | Linux | Passive, according to the August lineup update | Not stated in the cited sources | Not stated in the cited sources |
The LL’s US$80 figure is an earlier announced price excluding shipping, not the AP’s price. The configurations with missing specifications should not be assumed to match either the LL or AP beyond the operating-system family and cooling assignments in the August update.

What remains unconfirmed for buyers
The October report reproduces an announcement rather than documenting a retail listing or hands-on test. It does not establish the AP’s final Android release, ship date, inventory, final retail price, measured performance, emulation capabilities, or battery life. Treat US$179 as the announced figure, not proof that the handheld can currently be ordered at that price.
