The headline $799 price in HotHardware’s October 2025 post-Prime Day roundup applied to a specific 13.6-inch M4 MacBook Air: 16GB of unified memory and a 256GB SSD. The offer was reported as $200 off, but it is historical—not a confirmed current price. As of October 8, 2026, current availability and pricing for that configuration have not been verified.
Which M4 MacBook Air was $200 off?
HotHardware reported the 13.6-inch M4 MacBook Air with 16GB of unified memory and a 256GB SSD for $799 on Amazon in October 2025, describing it as 20% off. The discount did not apply to every M4 Air configuration. The source also listed these 13-inch configurations at higher prices:
| 13-inch M4 MacBook Air configuration | Reported October 2025 Amazon price | Reported discount |
|---|---|---|
| 16GB memory, 256GB SSD | $799 | 20% off |
| 16GB memory, 512GB SSD | $999 | 17% off |
| 24GB memory, 512GB SSD | $1,199 | 14% off |
These are prices HotHardware reported in 2025, not current offers. The base configuration’s 256GB SSD is built-in and cannot be upgraded at home, so decide whether that capacity is sufficient before buying. More memory may suit heavier multitasking, while additional SSD capacity provides more room for files and apps.
What were the 15-inch MacBook Air prices?
The roundup also listed these 15-inch M4 Air configurations. The larger model trades some portability for a more spacious display; Apple’s current specifications page lists 15.3-inch and 13.6-inch displays for its current-generation Air models, but it now describes M5 models rather than the historical M4 offers.

Battery figures cited by the source were up to five hours of earbud listening and up to 30 additional hours with the included USB-C case; these are product claims, not independent measurements.
Are these post-Prime Day Apple deals still available?
That has not been verified. The prices above belong to the October 2025 Prime Big Deal Days period and should not be treated as live offers. 9to5Toys’ coverage noted that some offers had disappeared after the sale. Apple’s current specifications page covers M5 MacBook Air models; it does not establish the current stock or price of an M4 configuration.
