Choose Love and Deepspace for 3D companion interactions, customization, everyday activities, and combat. Choose Tears of Themis for a detective-romance story about a new attorney investigating unusual cases with a romantic partner. The key difference is what you want to do while the romance unfolds: spend time with companions and fight, or investigate cases.
How the stories differ
Love and Deepspace: science-fiction hunter romance
In Love and Deepspace, you play a Deepspace Hunter who fights alien creatures alongside love interests. Its premise ties the romantic relationships to an action-oriented science-fiction setting. Google Play’s game listing identifies combat as part of the experience.
Tears of Themis: legal mystery and romance
Tears of Themis puts you in the role of a new attorney solving unusual cases with a romantic partner. HoYoverse describes it as a “detective adventure and love-sim” in its July 16, 2021 release announcement. Its central appeal is the combination of case-solving and romance, rather than the hunter-and-combat premise of Love and Deepspace.
What you do between story scenes
Love and Deepspace emphasizes companion presence
The game’s store descriptions highlight real-time-rendered 3D first-person story moments, customizable appearance and voice, and activities with companions. The US App Store listing also describes features such as home cooking, handicrafts, gardening, and an AR photobooth. The Google Play listing, updated July 5, 2026, presents version 6.0 features including home cooking, companion activities, and an AR photobooth. These are details from the respective listings, and features can change with updates.
#1 Best Overall
- 【 Design 】50 Pcs differet photo cards, highly restored the character in the game. The best gift for fans
- 【Occasions】Birthday Gift ,Christmas Gift,and other occasions
- 【Product includes】 4pcs set (50pcs character cards + mobile phone chain + key chain + Brooch)
This makes Love and Deepspace the better fit if you want a romance game that gives you ways to interact with characters outside the main story, alongside combat.
Tears of Themis emphasizes cases
Tears of Themis is framed around attorney work and unusual cases. The official description establishes its detective-adventure and love-sim focus, but does not provide enough detail to compare specific case mechanics with Love and Deepspace’s combat. Choose it for the legal mystery premise and story-led investigation, not on the assumption that its moment-to-moment play matches another detective game.

Collection systems and spending
Google Play marks Love and Deepspace as offering in-game purchases, including random items. Its collection events can have rules that affect a player’s progress: the official Precise Wish event rules say that changing or canceling a Precise Wish after obtaining a Memory other than the chosen one resets the Precise Wish Point. That rule is event-specific; check the current in-game terms before spending.
