Love and Deepspace does not have one fixed installed size for every player. The latest official figure found, for Version 6.0, recommends at least 27 GB of free space before installation and says the update may require about 3.2–7.9 GB of additional resources. Those figures describe update preparation—not a 27 GB download or a universal total game size. To reclaim space, start with the game’s Quick Cleanup and review what it marks before deleting deeper or personal content.
How much storage does Love and Deepspace need?
The official Version 6.0 Client Update Guide, published July 8, 2026, recommends having at least 27 GB free before installing the update. It says approximately 3.2–7.9 GB of additional resources may need to be downloaded, depending on the resources already on your account. Version 6.0 launched July 9, 2026; as of October 4, 2026, this was the newest relevant official update guide located.
The publisher does not give a single current total installed-size figure that applies to every device and account. Installed use depends on the client version and which in-game resources have been downloaded. Treat the 27 GB figure as version-specific free-space guidance, not as the game’s permanent footprint.

Why free space can exceed the download size
Downloading an update is only part of installing it: the game also needs room to process and decompress resources. The Version 6.0 guide explains, “Because of game resource decompression needs, the recommended free space size may differ from the actual download size.” If the game displays an insufficient-storage prompt, use the required amount shown there as a guide to how much space to clear.

Older figures are not current install-size estimates
Earlier update guides illustrate why package, additional-resource, optional-content, and free-space figures should not be conflated. They describe different versions and installation stages; do not add them together to estimate today’s installed size.

How to clear Love and Deepspace storage
Use the game’s own cleanup and resource-management options first. Menu labels and download behavior can change between versions, so follow the current client’s prompts if they differ.

- Run Quick Cleanup: From the main screen, tap your profile at the top left, then choose Quick Cleanup near the bottom. Let the game scan its resources. Review the Recommended Cleanup and Deep Cleanup groups; select individual items or use one-tap cleanup if you are comfortable removing everything included in that selection.
- Inspect Deep Cleanup items: The official guide warns that removing Deep Cleanup resources may affect subsequent gameplay. Read the item details and avoid deleting anything you are unsure you can do without.
- Review downloaded content: Open Manage Resource at the bottom of the Profile interface to see and manage resources, including recommended content that may have downloaded automatically.
- Control recommended downloads: Go to Settings → Feature and disable recommended downloads if you do not want that feature downloading content over Wi-Fi automatically. After Version 6.0, Main Screen Voices were included in Recommended Downloads; Phone Call Voices could be managed and cleared.
- Remove personal content only if you want to: Albums and Journals can be cleared from their respective features. Preserve or back up anything personal you want to keep before deleting it.
- Respond to an insufficient-storage prompt: Use its Clear Cache button if offered, or free at least the amount it requests, then retry. An older official guide warned repeated installation attempts without freeing space could make the displayed requirement inaccurate, so do not keep tapping Retry without clearing space.
- Let installation finish decompression: After a download completes, keep the game open in the background while it installs. The Version 6.0 guide says closing the game can prolong installation.
Should you uninstall and reinstall the game?
Do not make uninstalling the old client your first cleanup step. The Version 6.0 guide recommends overlay installation and warns: “Uninstalling the old version may result in the loss of local data, such as photos not uploaded to the cloud.” Preserve local-only photos and other content you value before considering an uninstall. The guide does not establish that every removed resource or personal item is always recoverable by downloading it again.

The Version 6.0 guide’s device recommendations are not a promise of a particular storage footprint or performance on every device. It recommends iPhone 12 (A14) or later, iPad with A14/M1 or later, and iOS 13.0 or later. For Android, it lists at least 6 GB RAM, Android 7.0 or later, and a Dimensity 9000 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or later. For PC emulation, it recommends the latest MuMuPlayer.
