In my experience, Loop Quiet 2 earplugs have helped me fall asleep in minutes even with noisy neighbours, and I find them comfortable when I sleep on my side. That is a personal result, not a promise for every sleeper: ear shape, tip fit, pillow pressure and the noise in your room all affect the outcome.
What Quiet 2 is rated to do
Loop describes Quiet 2 as reusable, soft-touch silicone earplugs for reducing everyday noise, with sleep among their intended uses. The manufacturer gives them a 24 dB SNR noise-reduction rating. SNR is a stated product rating, not a guarantee that a particular neighbour’s voice, music or late-night activity will become inaudible in your bedroom. Loop also notes that the noise you experience depends on fit and surroundings. Loop Quiet 2 product details
That distinction matters when deciding what to expect: my experience of falling asleep quickly is useful as one person’s account, but the product specification does not establish how quickly another person will fall asleep or how much a specific sound will be reduced.

The Quiet 2 set includes four silicone ear-tip sizes: XS, S, M and L. They provide options for finding a fit that suits your ears; they do not mean one size or fit will work for everyone. A comfortable, secure fit is also relevant to the noise you perceive, so trying the different supplied sizes is more useful than assuming that a plug will perform identically in every ear.
#1 Best Overall
- POWERFUL NOISE REDUCTION – Packing up to 24 dB (SNR) of noise reduction into a flexible silicone earplug, Quiet 2 muffles unwanted noise in comfort and style. Get in your quiet bubble anywhere for improved sleep, deep focus, stress-free travel and beyond. Quiet 2 earplugs qualify as certified hearing protection to keep your ears safe from damaging sounds.
- ULTRA-COMFY FIT – Made from lightweight, flexible silicone, these reusable earplugs offer dreamy comfort day and night, even for side-sleepers. Comes with 4 ear tip sizes (XS/S/M/L) for the perfect fit, even in smaller ears.
- GREAT FOR SLEEP, FOCUS AND MORE – Quiet 2 earplugs offer instant noise reduction and protection for all kinds of situations, including sleep, focus, relaxation, travel, commuting, general noise sensitivity and more. Loop earplugs are easy to clean and built to last.
- EASY TO USE – Quiet 2 earplugs are easy to insert and come with adjustable ear tip sizes for optimal noise reduction and a comfortable fit throughout the day. Just pop them in, twist to secure and enjoy life at your volume. When inserted correctly, Quiet 2 earplugs shouldn't stick out.
- IN THE BOX – 1 set of Loop Quiet 2 earplugs, 4 sets of Quiet 2 ear tips (sizes XS, S, M, L – M comes pre-installed), 1 portable convenient Carry Case.
For side sleeping, comfort is especially personal. The plug may meet pressure from your pillow, and ear anatomy and the way the tip sits can change how noticeable that pressure feels. I find Quiet 2 comfortable on my side, but that does not establish that all side sleepers will.
Quiet 2 or Loop Dream for sleep?
Loop positions Quiet 2 as a multipurpose option for everyday noise reduction, including sleep, travel, focus and relaxation. It positions Dream as its sleep-specific model, designed for overnight comfort and, in Loop’s support comparison, to maximize comfort especially for side sleepers. Those are the manufacturer’s intended-use and design claims, not independent head-to-head comfort results. Loop’s Quiet and Dream comparison

| Model | Manufacturer’s stated purpose | Stated noise-reduction rating | What to weigh for sleep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quiet 2 | Reusable everyday noise reduction, including sleep | 24 dB SNR (Loop product page) | Multipurpose use; choose a tip that fits and consider how it feels against your pillow. |
| Dream | Sleep-specific, positioned for overnight comfort and side sleepers | Not stated in the cited comparison | Consider it if sleep comfort is the main design priority; comparative comfort is not independently established. |
Loop’s comparison also lists Experience 2 at 17 dB SNR, but describes that model separately; that rating alone does not make it a direct substitute for Quiet 2 for sleep. Loop earplug comparison

Who Quiet 2 may suit
- Consider Quiet 2 if you want a reusable earplug for several everyday settings and want to try it for sleep, with multiple tip sizes to find your fit.
- Consider Dream if sleep is the primary use and Loop’s sleep-specific design positioning, particularly for side sleepers, matches what you are looking for.
- Keep expectations individual if neighbour noise is the problem: the 24 dB SNR rating does not predict the exact result in your room, and comfort while lying on your side varies by person.
