The Loop earplugs worth considering are the ones that suit your setting and fit—not necessarily the pair with the highest attenuation number. Choose Quiet 2 for general noise reduction, focus, or travel; Experience 2 for concerts and live events; Engage 2 when conversation matters; Switch 2 if you want three selectable modes in one pair; or Dream for a sleep-focused option. Those are Loop’s intended uses, not a guarantee that a model will feel comfortable or work equally well for every wearer.

These recommendations reflect the manufacturer’s stated use cases. An independent review by Taddei, published August 20, 2025, reported that Engage was useful for conversation in restaurants or cafés, Experience gave a fuller, more balanced sound at a show, Quiet provided the greatest reduction among those options, and Switch let him change modes. How the ratings compare—and what they do not tell you
Loop’s Help Center lists these sound reduction figures using the SNR system: Quiet 2, 24 dB; Experience 2, 17 dB; and Engage 2, 16 dB. For Switch 2, it lists 26 dB SNR in Quiet mode, 23 dB SNR in Experience mode, and 20 dB SNR in Engage mode. These are product specifications, not predictions of the reduction an individual wearer will experience. See Loop’s model comparison and rating figures.
Loop’s US Engage 2 product page also lists an 8 dB NRR. SNR and NRR are different rating systems, so that number should not be ranked directly against the SNR figures above as if they were the same scale. The independent review likewise cautions that actual reduction depends on fit and seal. Check the Engage 2 product page for its stated NRR.

A higher reduction figure is not automatically a better match. Quiet and Dream prioritize blocking more sound, while Experience and Engage are intended to leave music or speech more usable. If you need to hear announcements, talk with others, or follow live music, the listening trade-off matters alongside the rating.
Fit can change the result
A rating cannot compensate for an earplug that does not seal correctly. Loop’s current US Engage 2 page lists multiple ear-tip sizes, and its instructions say that hearing your own voice more loudly is a sign of a good seal. - Insert the earplugs according to the instructions and check that the fit feels secure.
- Assess comfort for the length of time you expect to wear them; the available product positioning does not establish comfort for every ear or situation.
Do not assume that filtered earplugs make every loud environment safe. Loop’s business technology page says its earplugs comply with EU EN352-2 and US ANSI S3.19-1973 standards, but that company-level statement is not a substitute for checking current model-specific packaging and documentation when a legal or occupational safety requirement applies. - Check the rating system. Keep SNR and NRR figures distinct; they are not directly interchangeable.

- Confirm the current details. Product lineups, prices, tip inclusions, and documentation can change, so verify the live product information for your region.
For most buyers, the practical shortlist is straightforward: Quiet 2 for general reduction, Experience 2 for live music, Engage 2 for conversation, Switch 2 for selectable modes, and Dream for a sleep-oriented design.
