To charge the Logitech Spotlight presentation remote, remove the USB receiver from the bottom, connect the USB-C end of the supplied USB-A-to-USB-C cable to the port inside the receiver slot, then connect the USB-A end to a computer, laptop, or USB-A adapter. The LED pulses white while charging and turns steady white when charging is complete. Logitech estimates about 60 minutes for a full charge.
How to charge the Logitech Spotlight remote
- Remove the small USB receiver from the storage slot on the bottom of the remote. The receiver is for the remote’s wireless connection; it is not the charging connector.
- Locate the USB-C charging port inside the receiver slot. Check the slot for debris before connecting the cable.
- Insert the USB-C end of the supplied USB-A-to-USB-C cable into the port.
- Connect the USB-A end to a USB-A port on a computer, laptop, or adapter.
- Check the LED: pulsing white indicates charging; steady white indicates a full charge.
Logitech confirms that the USB-C port is inside the receiver slot and specifies the USB-A-to-USB-C cable for charging. Its supplied USB 2.0-to-USB-C cable is for charging only. Logitech Support: Charge the Logitech Spotlight presentation remote and Logitech Support: LED status indicator
What the charging time and battery estimates mean
Logitech estimates about 60 minutes to fully charge the remote. The battery is rechargeable and non-replaceable, with a stated capacity of at least 85 mAh. Logitech says a full charge can last up to 40 days; that is a manufacturer estimate, not a guarantee, and actual runtime depends on use.
Quick charge for first use
For first use, Logitech recommends charging for one to five minutes and says one minute of charging provides three hours of use. This is quick-start guidance, not a replacement for the approximately 60-minute full-charge estimate. Logitech Support: Getting started with Logitech Spotlight

- High quality design for professional use.
- The functions are the same as the original one.

Read the battery indicator
- Pulsing white: The remote is charging.
- Steady white: The battery is fully charged.
- Solid red: The battery is low. Logitech says the light turns red at approximately 5% remaining.
These colors describe the remote’s status indicator; a red light is a low-battery warning, not a charging-complete signal.
If the remote does not appear to charge
- Make sure the USB receiver has been removed and the USB-C connector is plugged into the port inside its storage slot.
- Check that the cable is USB-A-to-USB-C and that both ends are firmly connected to the remote and a USB-A power source.
- Inspect the receiver slot for debris that could obstruct the connector.
- Allow time for the indicator to change; a full charge is estimated at about 60 minutes, while a solid red indicator means the battery is low.
If the supplied cable is missing or damaged, Logitech’s specified cable type is USB-A-to-USB-C. The cited support guidance does not verify any particular third-party replacement cable.
