To install the Logitech K360, put in two AA alkaline batteries, switch the keyboard on, and plug its Unifying USB receiver directly into your computer. Try typing. If it does not connect, use Logitech’s Unifying pairing flow to reconnect it; the K360 uses its USB receiver, not Bluetooth.
What you need to install the K360
- The Logitech K360 keyboard and its Unifying USB receiver.
- Two AA alkaline batteries.
- A working USB port on the computer.
Logitech says the K360’s expected battery life is up to 36 months (three years). This is the manufacturer’s estimate, not a guarantee of how long a particular set of batteries will last. Logitech K360 battery instructions
How to install and connect the Logitech K360
- Install the batteries. Turn the keyboard over and open the battery cover. Insert two AA alkaline batteries, matching the plus and minus marks in the compartment, then close the cover. Logitech advises against mixing old and new batteries or batteries from different brands.
- Find the receiver. If the Unifying receiver is stored in the keyboard, remove it from the slot next to the battery compartment under the cover.
- Switch on the keyboard.
- Plug in the receiver. Insert it directly into a working USB port on the computer, rather than into a USB hub or KVM switch. Logitech K360 connection troubleshooting
- Test the connection. Open a text field and type a few characters. If they appear, setup is complete.
If the K360 does not connect: pair it again
If the keyboard does not respond after the receiver is connected, Logitech’s Unifying instructions describe a pairing flow that includes turning the keyboard off and on again and testing it by typing. Logitech’s general receiver instructions say the Unifying Software is no longer supported or maintained, so do not assume a current K360-specific download is available. Logitech’s K360 downloads page currently lists no downloads for the product.

Fix common K360 connection problems
- Check power and batteries: Make sure the keyboard is switched on and the batteries are installed with the correct polarity. Replace weak batteries if needed.
- Reseat the receiver: Unplug it and reconnect it directly to a working computer USB port. Avoid hubs and KVM switches.
- Move the keyboard closer: Keep it nearer to the receiver while testing the connection.
- Reduce possible interference: Logitech identifies metal surfaces and nearby electronic devices as possible sources of connection trouble. Its troubleshooting guidance recommends keeping other electrical devices at least 8 inches (20 cm) from the receiver.
- Pair again if needed: If the receiver and keyboard still do not communicate, repeat the Unifying power-cycle and typing-test procedure.
Logitech lists low batteries, a receiver that has been moved, hubs or KVM switches, metal surfaces, and radio interference among possible causes of lost or unreliable connection. See its K360 troubleshooting guidance.
