If you can’t access either the email address or phone number on your Cash App account, contact Cash App through its official support channels and be ready to verify your identity. Cash App does not publish a guaranteed self-service recovery process for this situation, so access is not assured.
First, check whether either contact method still works
If you can access the phone number or email address linked to the account, use Cash App’s official sign-in flow and follow its verification prompts. If you are trying a phone number and no code arrives, check that you entered it correctly, retry or resend the code, and contact Support if it still does not arrive. Cash App’s verification-code help page says that non-fixed VoIP numbers, including Google Voice and Skype, cannot receive codes. It also says a phone number can be associated with only one Cash App account.

If you can’t access either one, contact Cash App directly
Use Cash App’s in-app Support, cash.app/help, or the official support number, 1-800-969-1940. Cash App’s U.S. Terms of Service identify that as the only phone number for Cash App Support. Its Security page says in-app chat is available 24/7.
Explain that you are locked out and no longer control either contact method on file. Follow the instructions Support gives you and provide identity or account information only through the official channel. Cash App’s Terms say it may request information or documentation to validate your identity and account information. They also say your account may remain restricted if Cash App cannot verify your identity to its satisfaction.

What to expect from identity checks
Cash App may require extra authentication when you first access an account on a new device. The information or documents it requests will depend on its verification process; the official sources do not set out a universal checklist for people who have lost both registered contact methods. Follow the requests made in your own support case rather than sending documents or account details to someone who contacts you unexpectedly.
Cash App’s E-Sign Consent, effective January 14, 2026, says customers are responsible for keeping valid contact information. It says an email address may be changed through the Services or by writing to the company address, but it does not establish a way for a locked-out customer to change the address without first satisfying Cash App’s process.

Protect your sign-in details from fake support
Start the conversation yourself through the app or cash.app/help, or call the number Cash App publishes. Do not share your password, PIN, full debit-card number, or sign-in code with a caller or message claiming to be support. Cash App’s Terms warn that representatives will never ask for your password, PIN, or full debit-card number; its Security page also says Cash App will never ask for your sign-in code or PIN.

- Do not trust a phone number supplied in an unsolicited message or search result; use the official channels above.
- If someone asks for a code or PIN, stop responding and start a new contact through Cash App’s official support route.
Don’t assume a second account or merge will solve it
Cash App’s official sources do not confirm a universal manual account-merger process for customers who cannot access either registered contact method. Do not create a second account, link a bank card, or expect an account merge unless Cash App Support specifically instructs you to do so for your case.
