The LIVVOLT Kart Boat is a planned, single-rider electric watercraft with a manufacturer-listed top speed of up to 25 mph (40 km/h). That figure—and the boat’s runtime, price, and delivery window—comes from LIVVOLT, not an independent test. Here’s what the published specifications say and what remains uncertain for a buyer.
What is the LIVVOLT Kart Boat?
LIVVOLT describes the Kart Boat as a compact electric craft steered with a racing-style wheel and hydraulic steering. Its enclosed jet drive is designed without an exposed propeller. The manufacturer lists drive modes D1, D2, D3, P, and R, as well as an industrial-grade polyethylene hull and electrical equipment rated IP68. These are product-page specifications and design descriptions, not independent findings about performance or safety. LIVVOLT’s product page is the source for the listed features.
How fast does the Kart Boat go?
LIVVOLT lists a 12 kW rated electric jet drive and a top speed of up to 40 km/h (25 mph). The company has not supplied an independent test result establishing that speed in real-world conditions. The Gadgeteer noted on October 2, 2026, that the boat’s claims about speed, handling, durability, and everyday ownership still need independent verification (The Gadgeteer).

That distinction matters: “up to” is a manufacturer-stated maximum, not a guarantee that every rider will reach it. The available information does not specify the rider, water, weather, or test conditions behind the figure.

How long does the battery last, and how long does it take to charge?
The listed removable battery is a 5.8 kWh ternary lithium pack. LIVVOLT estimates 35–60 minutes of operating time and approximately 4–5 hours to charge; it does not publish a guaranteed runtime or conditions for that estimate. The page also lists 500+ battery cycles and a 12-month battery warranty, subject to the final campaign policy. Check the seller’s final terms for what the cycle figure and warranty cover.
LIVVOLT says riders can extend time on the water by swapping in a second battery instead of waiting for a recharge. The product information does not establish swap time or real-world range under particular conditions. It also lists a planned two-battery Extended Ride Bundle, but the final bundle terms should be checked with the live seller.

How many people can ride, and how much does it weigh?
The Kart Boat is designed for one rider, not a rider and passenger. LIVVOLT lists a maximum load of 100 kg (220 lb) and expressly says the craft is not designed to carry a passenger.
| Item | LIVVOLT-listed figure |
|---|---|
| Dimensions | 2,200.1 × 987.2 × 750 mm (7.2 × 3.2 × 2.5 ft) |

Because those dates and terms are presented as plans or estimates, confirm the campaign’s current status and delivery information before committing money.

A jet system without an exposed propeller is a design feature, not proof that the craft is safe in every situation. LIVVOLT warns that weeds, rope, debris, and other objects can affect the jet system; it advises avoiding heavy weeds, floating debris, and shallow obstructions. The company says the jet pump has service access for inspection and maintenance.
Boating requirements depend on where the craft will be used. Registration, operator qualifications, required safety equipment, speed limits, and permitted waterways can vary by jurisdiction. LIVVOLT’s general regulations information is not a ruling for a particular location; check the relevant state or local boating authority. The company also says additional U.S. ownership and product documentation details will be published before fulfillment. LIVVOLT’s regulations page provides its general reminder.
What is still unproven?
The published figures make the Kart Boat’s intended format clear, but they do not establish how it performs in ordinary use. Independent testing has not verified its top speed, handling, durability, or day-to-day ownership characteristics. The listed runtime is an estimate, and the available product information does not specify the conditions behind it. Buyers should treat the specifications as manufacturer claims and wait for final campaign, warranty, and ownership details before treating planned terms as settled.
