Liverpool and Atlético Madrid’s Champions League match was played at Anfield on 17 September 2025, so there is no live stream of that fixture now. On matchday, Liverpool FC named TNT Sports for live video in the UK; an Irish TV schedule listed RTÉ 2 alongside paid sports channels. Liverpool also offered free live audio commentary and match updates, but that was not a free video stream.
Was Liverpool vs. Atlético Madrid available to watch for free?
It depended on where you were and which format you wanted. The evidence supports an Ireland-specific free-to-air television listing and free audio commentary from Liverpool FC. It does not establish a free live-video stream available worldwide.

Broadcast rights vary by country and season. UEFA’s broadcaster directory currently covers 2026/27, not the 2025 match. Use the relevant season and country rather than treating today’s listings as proof of what was available on matchday in 2025.

Liverpool FC said free live audio commentary was available at video.liverpoolfc.com, through the official LFC app, and in its Match Centre. The club’s exact description was: “Free live audio commentary on the action is also available at video.liverpoolfc.com, via the official LFC app [iOS | Google Play], and in our dedicated Match Centre.” This was audio coverage; it did not provide a free video broadcast of the match.

The club also offered live build-up, team news, minute-by-minute updates, photos, videos, and post-match reaction through its channels. Its official YouTube channel published a matchday build-up stream, but that listing does not say the match itself was streamed there: Liverpool FC on YouTube.
Can you watch a replay or highlights now?
In its September 2025 guide, Liverpool FC said highlights and a full replay would be available on All Red Video from midnight BST after the match, for members, and mentioned a month free subject to terms. That was a historical offer. The guide does not establish whether this specific replay remains available today or what the current membership terms or pricing are. When was the match, and what was at stake?
The opening-matchday fixture of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League league phase took place at Anfield on Wednesday, 17 September 2025. Liverpool FC gave an 8pm BST kickoff; AS listed 21:00 local time in Spain. UEFA’s 12 September 2025 preview said the clubs had been paired for the third time in six Champions League seasons. Liverpool had won their last two group-stage meetings, 3–2 away and 2–0 at home, while Atlético had eliminated Liverpool in the 2019/20 round of 16.
