Little Prince Tyger is a dark fantasy action roguelike from French developer Saltitude and publisher Team17. It is planned for PC via Steam in 2027. The announcement describes bow-focused, physics-driven combat, fluid simulation and more than 1,000 handcrafted single-screen levels; it does not give an exact release date.
What is Little Prince Tyger?
Little Prince Tyger is an upcoming action roguelike set in a dark fantasy world. You play a tiny hunter sent by the Queen to find her lost son, Prince Galaad. The publisher’s overview also names characters including Sauterelle, Machiavelli and Dagaubert. Team17 says the game takes inspiration from William Blake’s poem “The Tyger.”
In its October 8, 2026 announcement, Team17 described the game as a journey through more than 1,000 handcrafted, single-screen levels. That is the publisher’s announced figure, not an independently verified count of finished or playable levels. Gematsu’s announcement report reproduces the publisher’s overview.

The announced combat centers on precise bow-and-arrow attacks, with physics-driven interactions and fluid simulation shaping encounters. The publisher describes a strategic action loop in which perks can alter character stats, affect fluid interactions or manipulate time. Runs can also provide access to weapons beyond the bow, including javelins, boomerangs, throwing knives and traps.

The announcement gives an overview of these systems but does not specify how progression between runs works, how levels are selected, or whether the announced level count represents distinct stages or variations. Those details remain to be confirmed.
When does Little Prince Tyger come out, and where can you play it?
The game is planned for PC via Steam in 2027. No exact launch date has been announced, and the announcement does not confirm other platforms, pricing, system requirements, controller support or a physical edition.

Is there a Little Prince Tyger Steam playtest?
The October 2026 Triple-i Initiative showcase description lists a Steam Playtest running October 8–18, 2026. The available description does not state additional eligibility or access conditions. DayOne’s showcase roundup gives the playtest window.

Does the game require a William Blake book?
No. Team17 identifies Blake’s poem “The Tyger” as a reference for the game; it does not say that a particular book edition is official, required or endorsed. Reading the poem is optional context, not a game prerequisite.
