LiquorStore is a Bootstrap website template from Colorlib, built for liquor and drinks retailers. It gives you a responsive storefront design and common content sections, but it does not make a site capable of taking orders. Ordering needs a backend that you supply separately, and that gap is the part most buyers underestimate.
What the LiquorStore template includes
Colorlib’s LiquorStore product page describes the template as a responsive, cross-browser compatible Bootstrap layout with these elements:
- A dropdown menu and sticky navigation
- A testimonials slider
- Social media icons
- A blog section
- Google Maps and a contact form
The page credits Colorlib as author and Unsplash for the imagery. Colorlib’s 60 Best Free eCommerce Website Templates 2026 roundup places LiquorStore among drinks, wine, and liquor store designs and adds parallax effects and scroll animations to the feature list. These are presentation and content features. They describe how the site looks and how visitors move through it, not what happens when someone places an order.
Design is not checkout
Colorlib’s roundup, dated September 17, 2026, states that the design work is done and that the ordering side still needs a backend supplied by the site owner. A styled product page or shop layout is therefore a front end. On its own it does not manage inventory, process payments, check customer age, arrange delivery, or record live orders. What you need beyond the template depends on your jurisdiction and business model, so the list below is a starting point rather than a complete specification.

What you need to add before the site can take orders
- An ordering backend. A cart and order system that stores products, prices, and customer orders. This is either a hosted ecommerce platform connected to the template or custom development.
- Payment processing. A payment gateway or merchant account that accepts card payments and settles them to your bank account.
- Inventory and price control. A way to keep stock levels and per-product prices current, so the site does not sell items you no longer hold.
- Age verification. A process that confirms the buyer is of legal age at checkout and again at delivery or pickup. The template provides no such check.
- Delivery or pickup rules. Defined service areas, delivery windows, and handling for orders that cannot be completed.
- Alcohol sales licensing. The permits your local or national authority requires for selling and, where relevant, shipping alcohol. Marketing copy for a template does not establish that a site is compliant anywhere.
Price, license, and release date
The LiquorStore product page presents three purchase categories: Single, Membership, and Lifetime. Single and Membership include one year of support and updates. Lifetime includes support and updates for life. The page shows a CC BY 3.0 license, which is a Creative Commons license requiring attribution; confirm on the product page how it applies to the files you receive. Amounts and terms in the pricing section change over time, so this article does not quote a figure. Check the live page before you budget or describe what a purchase grants.
The release date is also inconsistent across Colorlib’s pages. A search result showed September 2026, the product page itself showed April 2026, and its article metadata reads July 18, 2024. Confirm the release month with Colorlib before citing it.

Drinkify’s listing describes product and shop layouts, responsive design, and demo import alongside its WooCommerce cart and checkout templates. The Wix listing names liquor stores, beverage retailers, and online shops as intended users, but it does not establish which commerce features are included.

Which option fits your situation
- You want a polished HTML front end and can arrange ordering separately. LiquorStore fits, provided you budget for the backend and the compliance steps above.
- You already run WordPress or want orders working from launch. A WooCommerce-integrated theme such as Drinkify is the more direct route, since the cart and checkout layer is part of the product.
- You want a hosted builder rather than a WordPress setup. Check the Wix listing’s current commerce features and pricing before deciding, because the listing alone does not confirm them.
- Your main concern is legal compliance. No template resolves age verification, licensing, or delivery rules. Those decisions sit with you and, where needed, a local adviser, whichever template you choose.
LiquorStore is a sound choice for a design-led brochure or catalogue site with a clear ordering plan. It is not a shortcut to an operating online store.
