The LiberNovo Omni SE may suit you if you want an articulated backrest and manually adjustable lumbar support without the motorized feature found on some Omni siblings. In Alex Berry’s GamesRadar+ review, it was notably comfortable and supportive, but the slim backrest wings, warm-feeling fabric, shifting headrest and armrests, and noises from the plastic structure were real drawbacks. Whether it is worth considering depends especially on your fit, how warm you run, and the current price in your region.
What the Omni SE is—and what it leaves out
The Omni SE is the less-featured, non-motorized chair in LiberNovo’s Omni range. Its central feature is the Bionic FlexFit backrest: multiple panels joined so the backrest can flex as you move. Berry reported that it reclines separately from the seat cushion and carries the armrests back with it. Lumbar adjustment is manual, using a reachable dial. These are features described in the review, not a controlled comparison with the other Omni models. GamesRadar+ review, 21 September 2026.
The review describes five recline stops, from 105° to 160°. They limit how far the chair reclines; they are not five fixed positions that lock you in place. If you specifically want powered adjustment, the SE’s manual lumbar control and omitted motor are important distinctions to check against the exact sibling model you are considering.

Berry used the chair as their main desk chair for several weeks of daily work, including sessions lasting several hours. They found it comfortable and particularly liked the broad-feeling lumbar support, which felt integrated into the backrest rather than like a small, isolated support point. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a guarantee that the chair will suit every body or posture.
#1 Best Overall
- Bionic FlexFit Backrest: Precision-tailored support with manual lumbar adjustment, perfectly aligning your spine for all-day comfort.
- Dynamic Support System: Headrest, backrest, seat, and armrests move with your body, maintaining continuous support as you shift, lean, or recline.
- 5 Recline Positions (105°-160°): Adjust your angle for work, gaming, or relaxation, from 105° Deep Focus to 160° Spine Flow. Pair with the LiberNovo Footrest to support healthy posture, provide ergonomic leg support that helps reduce pressure on your thighs, and maximize reclining comfort.
- Dynamic Screen Alignment: Differential tilt of headrest and backrest keeps your gaze steady, while sliding armrests (up to 100mm) provide uninterrupted support.
- Zoned Support, All-Day Comfort: Integrated with a Multi-density cushion, it enhances pressure distribution and circulation for effortless long-hour sittiing.
The reviewer described micro-elastic fabric and foam with three firmness zones. The cushion felt soft at first and softened further during extended sessions, according to Berry. That may appeal if you prefer a yielding seat, but could disappoint if you want a consistently firm feel. The review does not establish how the foam performs over a longer ownership period.
Will it fit your body and your room?
Fit is a key question. Berry found the backrest’s side wings relatively narrow and suggested that broader users consider the Maxis instead. The review does not provide a tested body-size range or a controlled fit comparison, so treat that as a practical warning rather than a universal sizing rule.

- Zoned Support, All-Day Comfort: Integrated with a Multi-density cushion, it enhances pressure distribution and circulation for effortless long-hour sittiing.
There is also an unresolved seat-depth discrepancy in the review: it says the chair was offered with 45 cm and 48 cm seat-depth options, but Berry could not identify which one their sample was. The cushion measured 54 cm front-to-back. Those figures describe different reported measurements; the review does not explain the discrepancy. Confirm the precise configuration and measurement definitions with the seller before ordering.

- Heat and debris: Berry found the fabric warm during a UK heatwave and said it collected debris. People who run warm should give that observation particular weight, while recognizing it reflects one reviewer’s conditions.
- Adjustments that may shift: The reviewer could set armrest height, but rotation and lateral position did not lock. Berry also found that the headrest slipped under pressure.
- Noise and materials: The review describes a largely plastic build with a nylon star base. Berry reported creaking, rubbing, and settling noises from the plastic structure. These are observations from their sample, not proof that every chair will behave identically.
- Side-wing pressure: The slim backrest wings may feel restrictive if your frame is broader; assess the fit rather than assuming the chair’s support shape will work for you.
How does it compare with the Omni Pro and Maxis?
Berry’s recommendations point to two alternatives for specific needs, but the review is not a side-by-side test. It does not establish comparable prices or a complete set of model specifications.

Price and what to check before buying
GamesRadar+ reported a publication-time price of $899 in the US and £839 in the UK on 21 September 2026, describing the SE as the least expensive model in the lineup. Those are not verified current offers; check local pricing, stock, and the seller’s exact configuration before purchasing. The review does not establish warranty terms or current availability.

- Confirm that the listing is for the Omni SE and check whether its adjustments are manual or motorized.
- Ask which seat-depth configuration is being sold, and confirm what the stated measurement refers to; the review’s sample measurement does not resolve the 45 cm/48 cm options.
- Consider whether narrow side wings, fabric that one reviewer found warm, and armrests or a headrest that may shift under pressure are acceptable for your use.
- Compare the current local price and return terms with the exact Pro or Maxis configuration if cooling or a broader fit is a priority.
Verdict: who should consider the LiberNovo Omni SE?
The Omni SE is worth considering if you value its flexible, articulated backrest and manual lumbar support, and its shape and materials suit you. Berry’s favorable comfort verdict is meaningful because they used it daily over several weeks, but the same review identifies practical compromises that could outweigh that comfort for some buyers. It is a less persuasive choice if you need powered adjustment, are sensitive to warmth, want armrests and a headrest that stay firmly put, or expect a broader backrest.

Berry concluded: “The LiberNovo Omni SE isn’t like any gaming or office chair I’ve sat in before, and it’s better than most of them.” That is the reviewer’s personal judgment, not an independently replicated result. Read the GamesRadar+ review.
