It is a candidate for builds short on internal connections, but check your motherboard headers, available power connector, cable reach, and mounting space before buying. The details below are LIAN LI specifications and advertised features, not results from independent testing.
What the EDGE Hub ADV adds
LIAN LI lists the EDGE Hub ADV in black (EG-HUB03B) and white (EG-HUB03W). The hub measures 35 × 132 × 17 mm and uses magnetic mounting inside a PC case or on a power supply. LIAN LI describes the USB design as two 1-to-4 hub chips. The hub uses a USB 3.0 header signal source, with a USB 2.0 9-pin fallback. These descriptions establish what LIAN LI advertises, not how accurately the hub measures bandwidth or temperature, what alert thresholds apply, or how reliably alerts and automatic shutdown behave. Those outcomes have not been independently established here.

L-Connect 3 and Windows support
LIAN LI’s L-Connect 3 software page says the software runs on 64-bit Windows. It describes features including fan and pump profiles, temperature-based fan curves, fixed speed, and motherboard PWM sync. Check the intended hub location and cable routes against your case before buying; listed cable lengths do not guarantee a fit in every build. There is not enough established information here to compare the ADV’s price or performance with other hubs. Current pricing and availability are also not established by LIAN LI’s product information cited above.
Verdict
On paper, the EDGE Hub ADV combines a substantial number of internal USB and fan connections with per-port USB monitoring, temperature sensing, and alerts advertised through L-Connect 3. It is worth considering when those connections and software features solve a specific need in your build. Treat the monitoring and protection functions as manufacturer claims rather than independently validated behavior, and verify power, motherboard connection, and physical fit before purchase.
