The 2026 LG Gallery TV is best understood as an art-display-focused television, not a picture-quality leader: its framed look, matte screen and Gallery+ artwork access are the main attractions, while RTINGS’ testing reports weak brightness and contrast and limited advanced gaming support. It comes in 55-inch and 65-inch US models. Whether it is worth buying depends on how much you value the wall-art design relative to movie performance and gaming features.
What are the LG Gallery TV models and prices?
LG’s US 2026 Gallery TV range comprises two 4K models. The manufacturer’s product pages displayed the following offers on October 5, 2026; these are dated prices, not guaranteed current prices or permanent MSRP. LG notes that prices, promotions, availability and specifications may change.
| Screen size | Model | LG page offer on October 5, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| 55-inch | 55LX7BPUA | $899.99; crossed-out reference price $1,299.99 (LG US product page) |
| 65-inch | 65LX7BPUA | $1,099.99; crossed-out reference price $1,799.99 (LG US product page) |

What makes it an art-display TV?
LG’s central pitch is a television designed to look like framed wall art when it is not being used for regular viewing. The TV includes a snow-white attachable frame; LG says additional frames are sold separately. It lists the GF26XW55 natural-wood magnetic frame as an optional accessory for the 55-inch model. That accessory should not be assumed to fit the 65-inch version.

- MAKES ART LOOK LIKE REAL ART WITH A PRINT-LIKE FINISH: See your favorite works like you're seeing them hanging in a gallery or museum. The virtually glare-free screen has subtle, matte texture, making art look like a real print.
LG also advertises a matte display to minimize reflections and automatic brightness control that senses room lighting and adjusts screen brightness. These are manufacturer descriptions of the intended experience, not a guarantee that the picture will look glare-free or convincing in every room.
Gallery+ and artwork
Gallery+ provides access to artwork for display. LG claims the service offers over 5,000 works of art; that count is LG’s marketing claim, not an independently audited library total. Some features require an internet connection, an LG account and a Gallery+ subscription. LG announced a complimentary three-month subscription in select markets, including the US, in a May 18, 2026 launch release, but that dated announcement does not establish current eligibility or offer terms.

Whether you're watching a film or displaying a masterpiece, the CanvasTV brings color to life with a level of depth and accuracy that makes everything on screen feel real enough to reach out and touch.
LG identifies the set as a Mini LED 4K smart TV with Dynamic QNED Color and webOS. Those platform and display labels describe the product, but they do not override the performance limitations found in independent testing.

RTINGS reviewed the 65-inch LG Gallery TV and described its overall performance as disappointing, citing low peak brightness, poor contrast and no local dimming. In its assessment, the TV is not bright enough to overcome glare or deliver an impactful image, and movies can look flat and dull. Those are RTINGS’ test findings and judgment, not our own hands-on assessment or a claim that every viewer will perceive the picture identically.

This distinction matters for a product whose selling point is displaying images on a wall. LG’s matte-screen and automatic-brightness features address the art-display concept, but the independent review’s brightness and contrast findings are relevant to both bright-room viewing and cinematic content. Consider the room’s ambient light and how often the set will show movies before treating the art design as a reason to overlook image performance.
Is it suitable for gaming?
RTINGS reports that the Gallery TV supports VRR and basic gaming features but does not support higher refresh rates or HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. That makes it a limited choice for buyers seeking the advanced capabilities associated with modern console gaming. Gaming is possible; the caveat is about feature support rather than an inability to play games.

Does the 65-inch review apply to the 55-inch model?
RTINGS tested the 65-inch set and says its findings apply to the 55-inch model, with no difference reported beyond screen size. The review therefore offers a basis for assessing either US size, but the tested unit itself was 65 inches.

It may suit buyers who put framed design and displaying artwork ahead of top-tier movie picture quality or advanced gaming. The included white frame, matte-screen approach and Gallery+ access make the design proposition concrete, but they do not erase the independent review’s performance concerns.

Before choosing an art-style TV, compare the same screen size and current regional versions across these points:
- Picture in your room: brightness, contrast, reflection handling and local dimming.
- Gaming: supported refresh rates, HDMI bandwidth and VRR.
- Artwork: library selection, subscription conditions and options for using personal images.
- Design details: included and optional frame choices, mounting approach and cable visibility.
- Price: current offers for the same size, rather than dated or mismatched listings.
RTINGS names Samsung The Frame, Hisense CanvasTV and TCL NXTVISION as comparison candidates. Their exact model versions, regional specifications and current prices should be checked before drawing a winner; no current head-to-head value comparison is established here.
