The 2026 LG C6 48-inch OLED is a compact premium TV with 4K gaming features up to 165Hz, four HDMI 2.1 inputs, Dolby Vision, and LG’s webOS 26 platform. Its picture has earned strong praise in a direct review of the 48-inch model, but this size has distinct panel behavior: reviews and measurements of a 55- or 65-inch C6 are not a substitute for testing the 48-inch set.
Which LG C6 48-inch model is this?
LG’s US product page identifies the TV as the “48 Inch Class LG OLED evo AI C6 4K Smart TV 2026,” model OLED48C6AUA. Regional model suffixes vary, so match the exact retailer SKU to the relevant local support and warranty information before ordering. LG’s US product page describes the set as having more than 8.3 million self-lit pixels, Brightness Booster, the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3, OLED Care, Wi-Fi 6E, and a Magic Remote; those are manufacturer-stated features.
LG Electronics USA said preorders opened March 5, 2026, with retail availability beginning in March. Actual availability and price depend on region and retailer.

AVForums’ direct review of the 48-inch set identifies its panel as “Primary RGB Four Stack Tandem.” RTINGS separately describes the 48-inch panel as a tandem-panel oddity and warns that its main C6 review, based on a 65-inch sample, does not apply to 48 inches. TechRadar describes the standard 42- to 65-inch C6 family as Tandem WOLED, while also distinguishing the larger 77- and 83-inch C6H models. The terminology and family descriptions differ, so the most useful size-specific reference is a review of the 48-inch TV itself.

In practical terms, do not assume panel construction or measured brightness is identical across C6 sizes. RTINGS explicitly says its 65-inch results also apply to 55 inches, but not to 48 inches; it directs readers to a separate monitor test for the smaller panel. RTINGS’ C6 review and size caveat is important context, not a source of 48-inch measurements.
What picture quality does the 48-inch review report?
AVForums’ review of the 48-inch C6, published September 28, 2026, gives it 8.5/10 and reports excellent SDR and HDR image quality, accurate out-of-box color, strong black levels and shadow detail, good dynamic range and motion, and off-angle uniformity. It also says brightness is below that of the larger C6H models. These are the reviewer’s findings, not independent measurements from this article. Read the direct 48-inch AVForums review.

What Hi-Fi? also says the 48-inch set retains much of the picture and sound performance of larger C6 models. That favorable assessment should be read alongside RTINGS’ explicit warning not to transfer its 65-inch test results to this size. The available evidence supports a promising picture, but not a blanket claim that the 48-inch C6 performs exactly like larger versions.
What gaming, HDR, and smart-TV features are included?
LG’s announcement describes 4K at up to 165Hz with VRR and Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support. TechRadar lists 165Hz refresh, Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, Dolby Atmos, webOS 26, and four HDMI 2.1 ports. These specifications make the C6 a strong feature set for a compact gaming TV, but the connected console or PC, input, cable, and settings determine which refresh-rate and HDR modes are available in a given setup.

- Inputs: Four HDMI 2.1 ports are listed by TechRadar. Check the TV’s manual and source-device settings for the exact input configuration needed for your chosen mode.
- HDR and audio: Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Atmos are listed formats. Support for a format does not mean every connected source or piece of content uses it.
- Smart platform: LG specifies webOS 26, alongside its Magic Remote and Wi-Fi 6E on the US product page.
For a desk, bedroom, or compact viewing distance, the 48-inch size may be more practical than a larger premium set. Whether it suits a bright room, however, is best judged from size-specific testing and your own lighting conditions; the cited direct review says it is less bright than the larger C6H models.

That depends on the current price gap and which features matter to you. TechRadar listed launch prices for the 48-inch C6 at $1,599 in the US, £1,399 in the UK, and AU$2,395 in Australia. What Hi-Fi? later observed prices around $1,200 in the US and £1,200 in the UK, with less movement in Australia at the time of its review. These are historical, market-specific snapshots—not current quotes or guaranteed prices.

Compare the exact same-size C6 and discounted C5 listings in your market, rather than treating launch pricing as today’s value. Also consider panel generation and independently tested brightness, reflection handling, gaming inputs and VRR, HDR formats, operating system, whether you need separate audio, and local warranty and service. What Hi-Fi? named the LG B6, remaining LG C5 stock, Samsung S90H, and Panasonic Z90B as alternatives at its publication time. AVForums compared the 48-inch C6 with the 48-inch G6 and noted a substantial UK-context price difference; neither comparison establishes the best choice at today’s price.

What should you check before buying?
- Confirm the exact SKU. For the US, LG’s page names OLED48C6AUA. Elsewhere, verify the complete suffix on the retailer listing and match it to local support and warranty details.
- Check the current local price. Compare the C6 with a same-size C5 and other current alternatives; the published launch and review prices are dated observations.
- Verify your gaming setup. Check that your console or PC and the TV input configuration support your desired resolution, refresh rate, and VRR mode.
- Use 48-inch-specific evidence. Do not apply 55- or 65-inch C6 measurements to this model; consult a direct 48-inch review when comparing brightness and picture behavior.
- Account for the room and sound. Consider viewing distance and ambient light, and decide whether the TV’s audio is sufficient for your needs or you want separate audio equipment.
