The title most closely matches the June 28, 2023 ONNX Community Meetup, an in-person and livestreamed event hosted by NVIDIA in Santa Clara and sponsored by the LF AI & Data Foundation. A similar 2022 edition took place at Microsoft’s Silicon Valley campus. Both were past events; their original livestreams and recordings should not be assumed to remain accessible.
What the event was
ONNX is an open standard for machine-learning interoperability, according to the ONNX project repository. The Silicon Valley meetup brought together people using ONNX, contributing to it, or building software and hardware that supports it. Its program centered on project updates, practical user and partner stories, technical talks, and discussion rather than a product launch or sales event.
The wording “at LF Online Community” identifies the listing context. It does not mean that the 2023 event was only online: the official listing describes an in-person gathering with a livestream option.
Which edition does the title refer to?
The closest exact match is the 2023 event. A closely named 2022 ONNX Community Day is also part of the official event record, so the dates, venue, and agenda should be read as separate editions.
| Edition | Date and time | Host and venue | Participation | Program emphasis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 ONNX Community Meetup | Wednesday, June 28, 2023. The LF listing gives 4:00–8:00 PM UTC; the LF AI & Data Foundation page gives the corresponding 12:00–4:00 PM EDT program. | NVIDIA, Santa Clara, California. | In person, with an online livestream option. | Community presentations; SIG and working-group updates; ONNX application lightning talks; wrap-up, Q&A, and roundtable discussion. |
| 2022 ONNX Community Day | Friday, June 24, 2022, 9:30 AM–5:30 PM local time. The organizer listing renders this as 4:30 PM June 24–12:30 AM June 25 UTC. | Microsoft’s Silicon Valley campus. | In person, with livestream access. | Main conference track, community and partner stories, lightning talks, breakouts, round tables, and an ONNX Runtime-hosted happy hour. |

What attendees could expect
Project and community updates
Both editions made room for updates about the ONNX community and its ecosystem. The 2023 listing specifically mentions updates from special interest groups and working groups, alongside Q&A and a roundtable.
Applied ONNX stories and technical talks
The agendas included partner and user experiences and lightning talks about ONNX applications. That focus made the event relevant not only to model users, but also to developers working on the tools and infrastructure around ONNX.

Discussion and networking
The 2022 program included breakouts, round tables, and networking; the 2023 listing also included a roundtable discussion. These were opportunities for community exchange, not a guarantee of any particular session or speaker beyond what the event pages list.
Can you attend or watch it now?
No. Both editions are historical, and their official listings mark them as past events. The original pages document that livestream participation was offered at the time; they do not establish current access to an event or stream.
ONNX’s official archive reports that 2022 presentations and recordings became available in July 2022 and that videos from the 2023 meetup were online by July 2023. That establishes that recordings were posted after the events, not that the links remain available today. Check the ONNX community-day archive for any surviving materials.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the two years are easy to confuse
Both events were Silicon Valley ONNX community gatherings with similar formats, and each offered remote participation. The key distinction is the host and date: Microsoft hosted the 2022 edition on June 24, while NVIDIA hosted the 2023 meetup on June 28. The title’s reference to LF Online Community is not a year or venue identifier.
