A Kelley Blue Book estimate accessed in October 2026 puts a 2024 Lexus LS 500 Sedan 4D at $65,900 in resale value, down $14,785—or 18%—from its $80,685 original MSRP over two years. That is one national estimate, not a guaranteed price for a particular car. Your LS 500’s value depends on its model year, trim, mileage, condition, location, options, and whether you sell privately or trade it in.
What is a Lexus LS 500 worth?
There is no single resale figure for every Lexus LS 500. A private-party estimate, a trade-in value, a dealer’s purchase offer, and a forecast of future depreciation measure different things. The following examples show why the figure must be read alongside its date, configuration, and valuation method.
| Example | Reported figure | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 LS 500 Sedan 4D | $65,900 resale value; $80,685 original MSRP; $14,785 (18%) decline over two years | Kelley Blue Book national estimate, accessed October 2026; not a vehicle-specific offer. Kelley Blue Book 2024 LS values |
| 2021 LS 500 Sedan 4D | $41,500 private-party value; $38,900 trade-in value; $44,900 fair purchase price; $77,025 original MSRP | Kelley Blue Book estimates for good condition, national averages, and typical mileage. Values vary with mileage, condition, and location; F SPORT and hybrid models have different figures. Kelley Blue Book 2021 LS values |
| 2021 LS 500 F SPORT AWD, no options | Modeled values: $37,392 in 2022, $32,263 in 2023, $27,528 in 2024, $22,791 in 2025, and $19,681 in 2026; $25,420 total decline across the displayed sequence | Edmunds depreciation figures for this specified configuration and its methodology; not a value for every 2021 LS 500 and not directly interchangeable with KBB’s estimates. Edmunds 2021 LS 500 appraisal values |
| Lexus LS 500 forecast | 53% estimated five-year depreciation and $40,639 five-year resale value | CarEdge forecast assumes average condition and 13,500 miles per year. It is a projection based on historical data, not an observed sale price or guarantee. CarEdge LS 500 depreciation estimate |
The examples are not a ranking of valuation providers. They use different configurations, assumptions, and value definitions, so comparing the dollar figures as if they represented the same car and transaction would be misleading.

How much has the LS 500 depreciated?
In the KBB 2024 example, the estimated resale value is $14,785 below the original $80,685 MSRP, an 18% reduction over two years. The comparison is between a manufacturer’s starting MSRP and a resale estimate; it does not account for options, destination, the buyer’s original transaction price, or what a specific owner could sell the car for.

For a longer-term illustration, CarEdge estimates 53% depreciation over five years, arriving at a $40,639 resale value under its average-condition and 13,500-miles-per-year assumptions. Because this is a forecast, actual depreciation may differ with the car’s use, condition, market, and sale timing.
New-car MSRPs provide context but are not the same as used-car market values. Lexus announced a starting MSRP of $80,685 for the 2024 LS 500 and $115,560 for the 2024 LS 500h. For 2025, Lexus listed starting MSRPs of $81,685 for the LS 500 and $116,560 for the LS 500h, and said the 2025 LS carried over unchanged from the previous model year. Options, destination, and original transaction terms can change the new-car cost used as a depreciation baseline. Lexus 2024 LS announcement · Lexus 2025 LS announcement

Why estimates for the same model year can differ
- Model and trim: LS 500 and LS 500h are distinct models, and F SPORT versions can have different valuations. Compare the same configuration.
- Mileage and condition: A vehicle with more miles or poorer condition may not match an estimate based on typical mileage or good condition. Be accurate about both when requesting a quote.
- Location and timing: Local demand can change what buyers will pay. KBB says its values update weekly, so a figure accessed on one date may change later.
- Options and original cost: Equipment and the original transaction price affect the comparison with MSRP, while estimates may treat options differently.
- Transaction type: Trade-in, private-party, dealer purchase, and fair purchase estimates are not interchangeable. A trade-in figure is not a private-sale price.
- Provider methodology: The Edmunds 2021 F SPORT AWD sequence differs substantially from KBB’s 2021 national estimates. The figures describe different valuation approaches and should not be averaged or treated as conflicting quotes for one identical transaction.
How to estimate your own LS 500’s resale value
- Identify the exact car. Record the model year, LS 500 or LS 500h, trim, drivetrain, and options.
- Enter its actual mileage and condition. Do not rely on a typical-mileage estimate if your odometer reading is materially different, or describe the car as being in better condition than it is.
- Choose the transaction you are considering. Check a private-party estimate if selling to an individual, or a trade-in estimate if exchanging the car at a dealer. Treat any dealer purchase offer as a separate quote.
- Compare estimates on matching terms. Use the same model year and trim, similar mileage and condition, your region, a similar date, and the same transaction type. If a provider does not state one of those assumptions, do not assume it matches another estimate.
- Get current, vehicle-specific numbers. Use valuation services such as Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds as starting points, then seek a current quote for your specific vehicle. A national estimate or depreciation forecast is not an offer to buy your car.
What the estimates can—and cannot—tell you
The clearest sourced illustration is KBB’s October 2026 estimate for a 2024 LS 500 Sedan 4D: $65,900, or 18% below its stated $80,685 original MSRP over two years. That gives a useful sense of one model’s depreciation, but it cannot establish what an individual owner will receive. For that, match the car’s details and sale method, and use current local or vehicle-specific pricing.
