The Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition 14 (Gen 10) is a polished premium convertible whose strongest case is its excellent OLED display, sturdy metal construction and flexibility as a touchscreen tablet or laptop. Its appeal is less clear if you need maximum CPU performance or easy upgrades: reviewers found the processor tuned toward efficiency, and Lenovo’s service guide lists soldered memory with no slots.
Which Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition 14 is this review about?
This is the 2025-era 14-inch Gen 10, also identified as model family 14ILL10. RTINGS tested the 14ILL10/83LC0005US configuration with an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, 1TB storage and a 2880 × 1800 OLED touchscreen running at 120Hz. RTINGS also lists a 3840 × 2400 OLED option at 60Hz, so screen resolution and refresh rate depend on the exact configuration; check the listing or device specification before buying. What are the display and convertible design like?
OLED for vivid viewing and touch
Tom’s Guide praised the OLED’s color and measured an average brightness of 420.6 nits in its 2025 review test. That is a result from its test conditions, not a guaranteed brightness figure for every panel or configuration. RTINGS’ tested 2.8K panel adds a 120Hz refresh rate; the separately listed 4K OLED option runs at 60Hz. Choose based on the balance you want between resolution and refresh rate rather than assuming every Gen 10 has the same screen. Tom’s Guide review
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesA hinge designed for more than laptop mode
The 360-degree hinge lets the screen fold back for tablet, tent and presentation use, making touch interaction useful beyond occasional navigation. Tom’s Hardware describes the hinge as doubling as a soundbar. Its review configuration also included a color-matched stylus, but confirm the contents of the specific regional package or retailer listing rather than assuming every sale includes one. How fast is it, and how long does the battery last?
The RTINGS test unit uses Intel’s Core Ultra 7 258V. Tom’s Guide reported Geekbench 6 scores of 2,751 single-core and 11,059 multicore for its 2025 review machine. These are that publication’s benchmark results, not a guarantee of performance in every configuration or workload. Tom’s Guide characterized the Lunar Lake processor as prioritizing efficiency over top-end performance, a trade-off that matters if demanding CPU-heavy work is central to your purchase.
Tom’s Guide recorded 12 hours and 47 minutes in its battery test. That is a lab result under the publication’s test protocol, not a promise of runtime during mixed everyday use; screen settings, workload and configuration affect battery life. Lenovo lists a 75Wh battery in its hardware maintenance manual.

What ports and upgrade options do you get?
Ports
On its review configuration, Tom’s Hardware reports two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one USB-A port, one additional USB-C port and a headphone jack. That mix supports modern USB-C accessories while retaining a conventional USB-A connection, but check the unit’s specification if you have particular display, dock or charging needs.
Memory and storage
Lenovo’s hardware maintenance manual lists integrated LPDDR5X memory and zero memory slots, so the RAM is not a conventional user-upgradeable component. The guide identifies one M.2 2242 PCIe Gen 4 SSD slot. Before planning a storage replacement, verify the exact machine’s configuration and consult Lenovo’s service guidance; the presence of a slot does not establish that a particular replacement drive is compatible or that an upgrade is straightforward.

Is the Gen 10 Yoga 9i worth its premium?
It makes the strongest case for buyers who value a premium-feeling convertible, a vivid OLED touch display and pen-friendly flexibility more than raw processing speed or internal upgrade options. Tom’s Hardware praised the build, screen and webcam, while Tom’s Guide also highlighted the aluminum construction and display. The same reviews identify the counterweight: Tom’s Guide judged it expensive for its performance, and both coverage and Lenovo’s parts information point to limited upgradeability.
There is no established current price or uniform regional configuration here, so compare the exact model and screen option at the price offered where you live. For alternatives, RTINGS compares tested Yoga configurations with the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 and Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360, with trade-offs involving portability, webcam and speaker quality, battery, ports and performance. Those comparisons apply to the generations and configurations they tested, not every version currently sold. RTINGS’ comparisons and review
Is the Gen 10 still the latest generation?
No. Lenovo announced a separate 14-inch Gen 11 Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition in 2026. Lenovo’s announcement specifies a 2.8K OLED touch display with up to 1,100 nits peak brightness and 100% coverage of DCI-P3, Adobe RGB and sRGB for that successor. Those are announced Gen 11 specifications, not measurements or specifications for the Gen 10 reviewed here. Lenovo’s 2026 announcement
