Choose by exact configuration, work requirements, service terms, and local price—not by the Lenovo or Dell name alone. The ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 comes in separate Intel and AMD versions; the Latitude 7450 is available as a clamshell laptop or a 2-in-1. First decide which platform and form factor you need, then compare matched processor, memory, storage, display, ports, warranty, and price. Published specifications do not establish a speed or battery-life winner between these product families.
Start with the exact model, not the family name
Neither name identifies one fixed laptop. Lenovo’s Intel ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 and AMD version are distinct platforms, and the Intel specifications should not be used to describe the AMD model. Dell’s Latitude 7450 comes as either a clamshell laptop or a convertible 2-in-1, with configuration-dependent processors, screens, memory, and storage. Dell also cautions that “Not All Technical Specifications Available Per System Configuration.”
Before comparing listings, record the Lenovo machine type and model code and the Dell SKU. For example, Lenovo’s PSREF identifies model 21WN00HJFE with an Intel Core Ultra 7 355, 32 GB of LPCAMM2 LPDDR5X-6800 memory, and a 512 GB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. That is one specific configuration, not the specification of every T14 Gen 7. Lenovo PSREF: ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 Intel, model 21WN00HJFE
Lenovo’s broader Intel specifications include Core Ultra 5, Core Ultra 7, and X7 Series 3 processor families; the available memory, storage, and display details depend on the configuration. The T14 Gen 7 AMD is separate. Lenovo PSREF: ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 Intel

Which one fits your work?
Choose by form factor and screen
If you need a convertible that can be used in tablet-style modes, compare a Latitude 7450 2-in-1 with the specific T14 configuration under consideration; do not treat the standard clamshell as equivalent. For either family, compare resolution, brightness, touch support, and the panel actually included. An upgraded QHD+ touch screen is not a fair stand-in for a base non-touch screen.

Choose by processor and memory needs
For workloads that depend on processor capability, match the exact processor family and model rather than comparing “Core Ultra” labels or laptop names. The T14 Intel and AMD platforms should be evaluated separately. Likewise, compare the memory capacity on each offer and investigate its service or upgrade path for that exact configuration; Lenovo lists LPCAMM2 choices for the Intel family, while Dell lists onboard LPDDR5x options for the Latitude 7450.

Choose by storage and serviceability
Compare the SSD capacity included and the documented replacement or expansion options for the exact machine. The Intel T14 specifications list an M.2 2280 slot, while Dell lists M.2 2230 SSD options for the Latitude 7450. Slot form factor alone does not establish user-upgrade procedures or compatibility, so consult the relevant service documentation before buying on the assumption that storage can be changed.
Choose by ports and desk setup
List the displays, wired network connections, USB peripherals, and charging setup you need. Then confirm that the particular laptop has the required ports and that the dock supports the intended display count, resolution, and power delivery. Lenovo provides a model-specific docking compatibility resource; Dell’s technical sheet names optional dock families, but that is not a guarantee for every configuration or display arrangement.

Choose by support and total offer
Compare the warranty and enterprise support terms attached to each seller’s actual offer, along with total price and local stock. Availability is configuration- and region-specific; the status shown on a Dell US listing is not a global availability statement. Check current listings before making a decision.
Buying checklist
- Confirm your country, the Lenovo machine type and model code, and the Dell SKU.
- Match processor class, memory capacity, and SSD capacity before comparing prices.
- Compare the actual screens: resolution, brightness, touch support, and form factor.
- Check ports against your displays, wired networking, peripherals, and charging needs.
- Verify dock compatibility for the exact laptop and intended monitor setup.
- Compare warranty and enterprise support terms, then recheck current local price and inventory.
Specifications can narrow the shortlist, but they do not establish which machine is faster in sustained work, lasts longer on battery, runs cooler, or feels better to type on. Those judgments require comparable testing of the exact configurations.
