The Lenovo ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook is a versatile Gen 1 Chrome OS convertible: it combines a 360-degree touchscreen design with AMD processor choices, useful built-in ports, and, on some configurations, a 4K OLED display. That breadth is also its main buying complication. Processor, memory, screen, storage, and stylus inclusion can vary by SKU, so the model name alone does not tell you what a listing includes.
What the ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook offers
The C13 Yoga is a Chromebook that can be used as a laptop or folded into other positions using its 360-degree hinge and touchscreen. Lenovo sold the Gen 1 family in standard Chrome OS configurations as well as Enterprise and education variants; do not assume a particular upgrade or license is bundled with every retail unit. Lenovo’s PSREF and product announcement describe the family and its options.
That mix gives the C13 Yoga a broader feature set than a basic Chromebook, but it makes checking the exact configuration essential. Lenovo’s reference materials do not describe every option identically: the PSREF specifies an FHD IPS touch panel, while Lenovo’s 2020 datasheet also lists a 4K OLED touchscreen option. Treat those as family-level possibilities, not a guarantee that any particular C13 has either panel.
Which processor and memory configuration should you choose?
Processor options
Lenovo’s Gen 1 PSREF lists four AMD processors: Athlon Gold 3150C, Ryzen 3 3250C, Ryzen 5 3500C, and Ryzen 7 3700C. The name “ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook” does not identify which one is in a specific unit. Check the listing’s full model or machine-type number and processor details rather than inferring performance from the product family.

Memory is fixed
Lenovo lists 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB of soldered memory, and says the memory is not upgradeable. The listed 4 GB model has no memory slots. Choose a configuration with enough memory for your expected workload at purchase; do not plan on adding RAM later. These processor and memory options are documented in Lenovo’s ThinkPad C13 Yoga Gen 1 Chromebook PSREF, last modified June 10, 2022.
How do the display options differ?
The PSREF describes a 13.3-inch FHD IPS anti-glare touchscreen. Lenovo’s 2020 worldwide datasheet also describes a 13.3-inch 4K OLED touchscreen option. Those documents establish that the family had differing display descriptions; they do not establish that every listing, region, or configuration offered both panels. Verify the panel and resolution for the exact machine before paying extra for an assumed OLED display.
A touchscreen is central to the convertible format, but the screen resolution and panel type matter as much as the hinge if you are comparing units. Ask the seller for the machine number or a clear specification page when the listing only says “C13 Yoga.”

What ports does the ThinkPad C13 Yoga Chromebook have?
Lenovo’s PSREF lists the following ports for the model family:
- Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports
- Two USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports supporting data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0, and DisplayPort 1.4
- HDMI 2.0
- MicroSD card reader
- 3.5 mm headphone/microphone combo jack
Lenovo says USB-C docking solutions are supported. External-display capability is not identical across processor configurations: Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 models can support up to three external monitors in addition to the built-in display, while Athlon and Ryzen 3 models support up to two. Maximum HDMI and USB-C display resolutions also vary by processor. Check the PSREF for the exact processor’s limits if your setup depends on a particular monitor count or resolution.
Does it come with a pen?
Not necessarily. Lenovo USI Pen inclusion is configuration-dependent, so check the specific listing’s included accessories before assuming one is in the box. If you plan to buy a separate stylus, confirm that it is USI-compatible and suitable for the exact device.

TechRadar’s review discusses the optional Lenovo USI Pen and describes the reviewed pen as a garaged stylus with 2,048 pressure levels. That is review-specific information, not proof that all C13 bundles include that pen or that every configuration has the same accessory.
How long does the battery last?
Lenovo’s 2020 worldwide datasheet lists a 51 Wh battery and estimates “up to 10 hrs.” Lenovo also warns that actual battery life can be significantly less and varies with configuration, software, usage, operating conditions, and power management. Treat ten hours as a manufacturer’s upper estimate, not a guaranteed runtime for a used unit or a particular workload. On a secondhand or refurbished C13, battery condition is a separate question to verify with the seller.

It may suit someone who wants a convertible Chromebook with touchscreen input, multiple built-in ports, and a choice of processor and display configurations. Chrome Unboxed’s March 12, 2021 video review presented the C13 as a higher-end Chromebook with a stronger build and feature set, while noting that those extras ask buyers to pay more. That is the reviewer’s assessment, not a current price comparison or benchmark result.

The C13 is an older Gen 1 model. Historical specifications and reviews do not establish current availability, fair pricing, seller reliability, refurbished condition, warranty coverage, or remaining ChromeOS software-update support. Check those details against the exact listing and Lenovo’s current ChromeOS policy before buying.
Checklist for comparing listings
- Confirm the processor and soldered memory capacity; memory cannot be upgraded.
- Verify whether the screen is FHD IPS or the listed 4K OLED option.
- Check storage type and capacity on the exact listing; family-level references do not establish the storage fitted to every unit.
- Confirm whether a stylus is included and, if buying one separately, verify USI compatibility.
- Match the processor’s supported external-display count and resolution to your monitors.
- For used or refurbished units, check battery condition, warranty, cosmetic condition, and return terms.
- Compare the asking price with the condition and configuration rather than relying on the C13 name alone.
