The Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 10 is a compelling 16-inch gaming laptop if you value its OLED screen and slim, well-made chassis. But “costs less than Razer’s Blade” is not a reliable blanket comparison: prices depend on configuration, region, and which Blade generation you mean. The Legion review also flags performance hiccups and temperature spikes, so it is not an automatic better buy.

Which Legion is the comparison about?

The relevant laptop is the Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 10, also identified in Lenovo’s specifications as the Legion 7 16IAX10 family. It is not the Legion Pro 7i Gen 10. That distinction matters: benchmark figures for the Pro model cannot be used to describe the Legion 7i.

Razer’s official Blade 16 page lists both 2026 and 2025 model families, with different GPU options. A useful price or performance comparison therefore needs a Blade year and configuration, not just the Blade name. Razer’s Blade 16 product page describes the model families and manufacturer specifications.

What did the Legion cost at review time?

TechRadar’s 2026 review listed the Legion 7i Gen 10 from $1,779.99 / £2,069.99 / AU$3,759. The reviewed starting configuration had a Core Ultra 7, RTX 5060, 16GB of RAM in the US, and 1TB of storage. The review listed its top configuration at $2,179.99 / £2,600 / AU$4,159, with a Core Ultra 9, RTX 5070, and 32GB of RAM. These are prices reported by the review, not current live quotes; availability and pricing can vary by market and SKU. TechRadar’s Legion 7i Gen 10 review provides the review-time pricing and assessment.

#1 Best Overall
Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 w/Ultra 9, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, OLED
  • UNOPENED RETAIL PACKAGING, sold as configured by Lenovo. Includes one year of Courier or Carry-in Lenovo Warranty. Add up to 4 years of Lenovo Premium Care Onsite Plus when you register your computer with Lenovo.

Those figures do not establish that the Legion is cheaper than every Razer Blade. To decide which costs less, compare laptops sold in the same country at the same time, with comparable memory, storage, GPU, and display configurations. The supplied review-time Legion prices cannot be matched to a Blade price without a specific Blade model and market.

How good is the Legion’s screen?

The 16-inch OLED is a major strength. TechRadar praised the reviewed 2560×1600 panel’s sharpness, contrast, color, and brightness, while noting that its glossy finish can reflect light. That makes it attractive for games and media, but reflections may be distracting in bright rooms.

Lenovo’s PSREF for the Legion 7 16IAX10 family lists a 16-inch, 2560×1600 glossy OLED with 500-nit brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. The family offers 165Hz and 240Hz refresh-rate options. Those are manufacturer-listed options, not a guarantee that every listing has the same panel; check the exact region and SKU before buying. Lenovo’s PSREF specifications document the family’s configuration-dependent options.

How does it perform, and what are the trade-offs?

TechRadar described gaming performance as good, but not ideal for AAA games at maximum settings. It also reported general tasking hiccups and temperature spikes. Those are findings from the review and its tested configuration, rather than a controlled comparison with a particular Blade. If sustained performance at the highest graphics settings is your priority, compare the exact GPUs and power limits and seek results from tests using comparable settings and workloads.

Lenovo’s PSREF lists an RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7 at 115W and a 24-core Core Ultra 9 275HX option for the Legion 7 16IAX10 family. These specifications depend on SKU and market; they should not be assumed for the less expensive configuration or every regional listing.

TechRadar gave the Legion’s design 5/5 and performance 3.5/5 in its scorecard, describing it as among the lightest, thinnest, and sleekest 16-inch gaming laptops. Those scores reflect that review, not an objective ranking against all Blade configurations.

Do not confuse Legion 7i and Legion Pro 7i benchmarks

PC Gamer’s 2026 Blade review includes a Black Myth: Wukong native-resolution High test comparing a Blade 16 RTX 5090 review configuration with a Legion Pro 7i RTX 5080. It lists 76 average FPS and 48 FPS 1% lows for the Blade, versus 111 average FPS and 80 FPS 1% lows for the Pro. This is a different Legion laptop and a particular test setup; it does not show how the Legion 7i Gen 10 performs against the Blade. PC Gamer’s 2026 Blade review gives that separate comparison.

What does the battery result tell you?

In TechRadar’s continuous movie-loop test, the Legion lasted just under eight hours and took two hours to recharge fully. The movie-loop result is not a gaming-runtime estimate or a prediction for mixed everyday use; battery life depends on workload and settings.

How to choose between the Legion and a Blade

Start with actual listings for the models you can buy, then compare the details that most affect value and experience:

  • Price: Use current prices from the same market, rather than comparing a review-time Legion price with an unspecified Blade.
  • Graphics hardware: Check the exact GPU and its power limit. A GPU name alone does not describe the whole performance configuration.
  • Display: Match resolution, OLED or other panel type, refresh rate, and glossy or matte finish. Confirm the Legion’s precise display option by SKU.
  • Portability: Compare the dimensions and weight of the exact models if you will carry the laptop regularly.
  • Thermals and sustained performance: Prefer comparable tests under the same games, settings, and resolution; the available Legion review does not provide a configuration-matched Blade benchmark.
  • Battery: Compare results from similar workloads. A continuous movie loop should not be compared directly with gaming results.

The Legion is a strong candidate if its OLED display and slim design matter more to you than consistently top-tier gaming performance. Choose only after checking the exact Legion and Blade configurations available at your price; the evidence here does not establish a universal price or performance winner.
