The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook 14 model 82XJ004AUS is a basic 14-inch Chromebook with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It was reported at $139 at Best Buy on March 6, 2026, but that dated deal does not establish that it is still available at that price. Check the exact model, seller, and current price before buying.
What does the $139 configuration include?
The $139 price referred to the non-touch 82XJ004AUS configuration. Best Buy’s listing describes a 14-inch, 1920×1080 display, a MediaTek Kompanio 500-series processor, 4GB of memory, and 64GB of eMMC storage. Chrome Unboxed reported the $139 Best Buy offer on March 6, 2026; it is a historical deal price, not a current quote.
The product name can be confusing because Lenovo’s broader 14M868 family includes more than one configuration. Lenovo’s PSREF family specifications describe options up to 8GB of memory, 128GB of eMMC storage, and a Full HD IPS touch display. Those family maximums do not mean every 14M868 or Slim 3 listing has those specifications. Confirm the SKU and listing details rather than relying on the family name.

Is it fast enough for school and everyday use?
The 82XJ004AUS is best considered for routine Chromebook tasks such as web browsing, email, video, and schoolwork. Its 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage help keep the configuration inexpensive, but they leave less room for heavy multitasking, demanding Android apps, or storing large amounts of offline content. Chrome Unboxed cautioned that heavy multitasking may slow it down. No independent benchmark results are established here, so it should not be treated as a proven choice for demanding workloads, gaming, or editing.
Lenovo lists a microSD card reader for the 14M868 family, but options can vary by model and region. If you plan to expand storage with a card, verify that the specific laptop listing includes the reader.

What should you check before buying?
- Price and seller: The $139 offer was reported on March 6, 2026. Confirm the live price and who is selling the device; the historical offer does not prove current availability.
- Exact model: Look for 82XJ004AUS if you want the non-touch 4GB/64GB configuration described above.
- Touchscreen: Do not assume the 82XJ004AUS has touch. Touch-capable family options and a separate touchscreen deal were reported, but the family name alone does not identify the panel.
- Workload: For everyday browsing and school tasks, the configuration may be sufficient; frequent heavy multitasking or storage-intensive use calls for more memory or storage.
- Update schedule: The reported June 2033 date is useful context, but confirm the schedule on the device when buying a used or previously activated unit.
