The published specifications do not establish that the Dell XPS Googlebook is faster than the Lenovo Googlebook 15. They use different processors—Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite in the Dell and Intel Core Ultra 5 in the Lenovo—but no independent, same-condition benchmark comparing these exact configurations is available here. The clearer trade-off is portability versus screen size: Dell lists a smaller, lighter 13.4-inch LCD, while Lenovo lists a 15.3-inch, higher-resolution OLED.

Google’s comparison page lists these configurations. Treat them as published specifications, not a complete inventory of every regional SKU; confirm the exact configuration where you plan to buy.

Does the Snapdragon Dell actually pull ahead in performance?
That conclusion is not supported by the available evidence. The Dell’s Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 and the Lenovo’s Intel Core Ultra 5 325 are different processors, but processor names alone do not show which laptop is faster in a particular task. A fair comparison would need matched workloads and recorded test conditions, including power mode, software versions, and configurations. No independent head-to-head benchmark for these exact models was verified.

Which screen and size suit your use?
Choose Lenovo for a larger OLED workspace
Lenovo’s listed 15.3-inch OLED display has a resolution of 2880 × 1800 and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is the more natural fit if you prefer a larger built-in screen for working across windows or viewing content. The trade-off is a listed weight of 2.8 pounds.

Choose Dell for a smaller, lighter laptop
Dell’s 13.4-inch IPS LCD is listed at 2560 × 1600 with a variable 30–120Hz refresh rate. At 2.2 pounds on Google’s comparison, it is the lighter option and has a smaller display. Consider whether that screen size works for your routine, especially if you often work without an external monitor.
What do the battery numbers mean?
Google’s comparison lists up to 13 hours for Lenovo and up to 18 hours for Dell, but those estimates are not a controlled, directly comparable battery test. Dell separately reported up to 16 hours of Netflix streaming for the XPS Googlebook. Its September 21, 2026 release says the company’s August 2026 lab test used a Snapdragon X Elite model with a 2.5K LCD, 16GB of memory, and a 512GB SSD. The test streamed 4K Netflix video at 150 nits with wireless enabled. Dell cautions that actual battery life may be significantly less and varies with configuration and use.

The 16-hour Netflix result is a distinct Dell test claim; it is not the same figure as Google’s up-to-18-hour estimate. Neither establishes how long either laptop will last for your mix of browsing, video calls, apps, and screen brightness. Google told Tom’s Hardware that the vast majority of Android apps run smoothly on both Intel- and Qualcomm-based Googlebooks. It also said a small number of complex apps or games may need developer tuning on Intel platforms. Google did not name the affected apps, so this statement does not identify a specific compatibility problem with the Lenovo model.

What should you check before choosing?
- Prioritize the display you want: Lenovo lists the larger OLED panel; Dell lists the smaller LCD.
- Weigh portability: Google lists Dell at 2.2 pounds and Lenovo at 2.8 pounds.
- Check essential applications: Don’t assume the general Android compatibility statement guarantees every app behaves identically.
- Match ports to your accessories: Google lists different USB-C/Thunderbolt and USB-A arrangements. Check the exact SKU’s port list against your monitor, storage, and other peripherals before buying a hub or dock.
- Look for relevant independent testing: For performance or real-world battery life, prefer a test of the exact model under conditions close to your own use.
