The Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 combines a capable MediaTek processor with unusually strong battery results in independent reviews. Lenovo advertises up to 17 hours, but published tests recorded 13 hours 19 minutes and 14 hours 4 minutes under different test methods. That makes it an appealing speed-and-endurance combination, though neither figure guarantees the same runtime for your workload.
How fast is the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14?
The Chromebook Plus 14 is built around the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910. Lenovo also specifies an NPU rated for up to 50 TOPS, a measure of AI-processing capability—not a general-purpose CPU speed score. Google called the processor “the strongest ever ARM chip in a Chromebook” in its June 23, 2025 launch coverage; that is Google’s launch claim, not a standardized comparison across all Chromebook workloads.
Independent review results indicate strong everyday performance, but the outlets used different benchmarks and test systems. Their scores are useful as evidence of capability, not as a controlled head-to-head ranking.

TechRadar also found some mobile games playable at high settings. Notebookcheck judged application performance strong, but cautioned that ARM architecture can limit particular Linux applications. If your work depends on a specific Linux tool, confirm that it supports this Chromebook’s ARM platform before buying. Notebookcheck also reported that the underside becomes noticeably warm under heavy load.

How long does the battery last?
Lenovo’s stated maximum is “up to 17 hours.” That is a manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed runtime or an independently verified result. Two 2025 reviews recorded somewhat shorter but still substantial endurance:

These results come from different protocols, so they should not be averaged or treated as a direct comparison. Your runtime will also depend on brightness, workload, wireless use, configuration, and other settings. The published tests support a strong-endurance assessment; they do not verify Lenovo’s 17-hour maximum for ordinary mixed use.

Which specifications and tradeoffs should you check?
Lenovo identifies the product as the Chromebook Plus Gen 10 (14-inch MediaTek); Notebookcheck reviewed the 14M9610 family. Lenovo’s listed features include a 14-inch 1920 × 1200 OLED display rated at 100% DCI-P3, a 60Wh battery, fanless cooling, Dolby Atmos quad speakers, a 5MP webcam with a physical shutter, Wi-Fi 7, and USB-C ports. Touchscreen is optional, and memory, storage, and weight vary by regional SKU. Lenovo lists configurations up to 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage; check the exact model listing rather than assuming those maximums are included.

- Cooling and sound: Notebookcheck highlighted the passive cooling and four-speaker sound; its review also noted warmth under sustained heavy load.
- Linux compatibility: ARM-based hardware may not support every Linux application you need.
- Portability: Lenovo’s launch description says less than 1.17kg, while its specification table lists a starting weight of 1.17kg. Since weight depends on configuration and Lenovo’s own materials differ slightly, confirm the exact SKU’s stated weight.
What did it cost at launch, and what should buyers compare?
Lenovo’s June 23, 2025 announcement gave a launch-era starting price of $649 through consumer and commercial channels. That is not a verified current price. TechRadar’s September 2025 review listed $749.99, £699, and AU$1,197; Notebookcheck’s August 2025 review referenced a $749 Best Buy offer and an Amazon listing. These are dated review references, not present-day prices or evidence of current stock.

When comparing listings or alternatives, match the exact processor, RAM, storage, and touchscreen configuration. Compare battery results only when the test method is clear, and treat scores from different reviewers as separate measurements rather than a common ranking. Also weigh portability and screen reflections against the OLED display, and check ARM compatibility if your workflow depends on Linux software.
