The Australian Lelit MaraX PL62X-AUS is a traditional 58 mm heat-exchanger espresso machine with a 1.8 L boiler, a 2.5 L water tank and three brew-temperature presets. Its 225 mm width suits a tight counter, but the 520 mm depth and manufacturer-stated 24-minute warm-up need planning. It has no integrated grinder, so budget for one separately. These are manufacturer specifications and published Australian listing details—not results from hands-on testing.
What the Australian PL62X-AUS is
Lelit describes the MaraX as a coffee machine with an L58E group and automatic control of extraction temperature. The Australian specification identifies the electrical variant as PL62X-AUS-4I20: 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz, with a Type I plug. Confirm the full suffix and electrical details on the machine and seller listing; the PL62X family includes other electrical variants. Lelit’s product specifications are the source for the figures and features below.
The machine uses a heat-exchanger arrangement with double-probe control and thermosyphon circulation. Its L58E group has mechanical pre-infusion and is compatible with LELIT58 barista tools. The controls offer Warm, Hot and Extra Hot temperature settings, and Coffee and Steam Xmode choices; Lelit also lists a steam boost, standby, spring-closure water and steam taps, a silent pump, and a double manometer for pump and steam pressure.

How it fits a home espresso setup
Counter space and warm-up
The footprint is notably narrow at 22.5 cm, but 52 cm deep. Measure the available counter depth and allow room to access the tank and service the machine; the listed dimensions alone do not establish the clearance a particular installation needs. Lelit describes readiness in 24 minutes, so it is better suited to a routine that allows for warm-up than to an expectation of immediate coffee from a cold start.
Temperature control and workflow
The three named presets are not a numeric temperature-entry control. That offers a simpler choice of temperature settings, but less fine-grained adjustment than a machine with a programmable temperature setpoint. The Coffee and Steam modes make the selected operating mode part of the workflow. Lelit presents its double-probe design as supporting temperature control, but the available product information does not establish an independently measured stability result.

A secondary Australian assessment says the control is intended to reduce the cooling-flush routine associated with conventional heat-exchanger machines. That is a description of design intent, not a measured finding that every coffee or operating condition eliminates flushing. No independent steam-recovery or group-head warm-up measurement is available in the cited material.

The MaraX has no integrated grinder, so a separate grinder is part of the setup. Lelit lists a two-way LELIT58 portafilter with Coffee Slide spout; 9–11 g single, 14–18 g double and 18–21 g double IMS baskets; an IMS blind filter; a stainless-steel tamper with wooden handle; a coffee spoon; a cup rack; a 35 L softener filter; a first-cleaning kit; and a brush. Check the dimensions and fit of any additional or replacement 58 mm part before buying it.

Price and warranty in Australia
When accessed in 2026, Lelit Australia’s product page displayed AUD 2,799. ProductWise recorded AUD 2,999 in a snapshot last verified on 2026-08-06. These are two dated observations, not a market-wide price range or a guarantee of current stock; check the seller for its live price and availability.
Lelit Australia says its goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, and that its limited warranty is valid only in the country of purchase. The Australian warranty page directs buyers to the local product page for the model-specific warranty length but does not itself state the MaraX duration. Confirm the term and service route in the applicable Australian product listing or seller documentation rather than assuming a particular number of years.

Which buyer should consider it?
- A plausible fit: someone seeking a traditional portafilter workflow, milk-steaming capability, a narrow machine and a 58 mm accessory format, and who is comfortable buying a grinder separately and allowing for warm-up.
- Think carefully if: counter depth is limited, you need a numeric brew-temperature setting, or your routine depends on confirmed simultaneous brewing and steaming. The primary material reviewed here does not establish simultaneous brew-and-steam behavior.
- Before purchase: verify the PL62X-AUS-4I20 suffix, voltage and plug, available depth and service clearance, current price, local warranty term, and compatibility of any accessories or consumables you plan to use.
The manufacturer materials reviewed do not publish an Australian model-specific cleaning schedule or replacement interval. Confirm filter and consumable compatibility with Lelit or the seller rather than treating a general espresso-machine maintenance routine as a Lelit instruction.

The MaraX PL62X-AUS is most compelling for a buyer who values its compact width, conventional L58E portafilter setup, included IMS baskets and heat-exchanger design, and can accommodate its depth, warm-up time and separate grinder. Its preset-based temperature controls are less adjustable than numeric entry, while key practical questions—including simultaneous brew-and-steam behavior and independently measured thermal performance—are not answered by the available sources. Treat the published specifications as a basis for checking fit and workflow, not as proof of cup quality or test performance.
