LEGO’s three 2026 Pokémon sets are separate display builds: Arcanine (72160), Rayquaza (72168), and Up-Scaled Red Minifigure (40868). Rayquaza is the standout for fans of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire: it recreates Sky Pillar, includes Lorekeeper Zinnia, and can be displayed on its base or detached. LEGO lists US prices of $109.99, $129.99, and $79.99, respectively; these are announced list prices, not guarantees of current retail pricing.
What does the LEGO Rayquaza set actually build?
Set 72168 is a 1,083-piece, age-18+ display model centered on Sky Pillar, the setting from Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. LEGO says the build recreates the scene and includes an exclusive Lorekeeper Zinnia minifigure. The narrative is therefore more than a standalone Rayquaza figure: the set pairs the Pokémon with a recognizable location and a character connected to that setting.
The assembled Rayquaza measures over 15 inches (38 cm) high. LEGO describes its body as reconfigurable, with the tail, torso, arms, and head poseable. The model can be mounted on the base or detached from it for display. Those are the official design details; they establish the intended display options, not how sturdy or convenient the model feels in practice.
LEGO announced the set for August 1, 2026, at €129.99, US$129.99, and £119.99. Check LEGO or a retailer in your market for current availability and pricing.

How do Arcanine and Up-Scaled Red compare?
The three products differ in subject and display role. Arcanine and Rayquaza are listed for ages 18+, while the larger-than-minifigure-scale Red build is rated 10+. Announced prices below are LEGO’s list prices in the specified currencies, not a comparison of current discounts or retailer offers.

LEGO announced Arcanine for August 1, 2026, and Red for October 1, 2026. Piece counts are useful for identifying the scope of each set, but they do not establish build quality, difficulty, or value on their own.

What is included in Up-Scaled Red Minifigure 40868?
Set 40868 is a standalone 930-piece build, not the Red minifigure from another Pokémon set. Its 10+ age rating distinguishes it from the two 18+ creature models. The large Red figure wears a red hat, blue trousers, a backpack, and a red vest with a pin; a Poké Ball is included. LEGO says the arms and legs pose and the head rotates.

How much do the three sets cost?
LEGO’s July 7, 2026 announcement gives the following official launch list prices. Prices vary by currency and market, and the announcement does not establish what a retailer currently charges.

For the US announcement, Rayquaza is the most expensive of these three at $129.99, followed by Arcanine at $109.99 and Red at $79.99. That price ordering does not by itself say which set is the best value; the subjects, included elements, scale, and intended display use are different.

What can be concluded about the builds?
Official product information supports a comparison of the sets’ contents, dimensions, articulation features, age ratings, and announced prices. It does not establish firsthand build time, stability, play experience, or comparative quality. LEGO Senior Model Designer Lee Magpili said, “I hope people enjoy the experience of building as much as the finished product.” That is the designer’s stated hope, not an independent assessment of the finished builds.

For a setting-based display, Rayquaza is the only one of the three explicitly built around a named Pokémon location, and Zinnia is part of the set. Arcanine is a poseable creature model with stated dimensions, while Red is a separate character-focused build with moving limbs and a rotating head. Choose according to which subject and display format you want rather than treating piece count as a quality score.
